Uncomfortable furniture, minimal extras, musty smell

Rain was leaking everywhere in the unit. Ceiling(roof leaked, as we were on top floor), windows and walls. Leaked all over my clothes. Spoke to office they did nothing. Send messages, heard nothing. As a bonus we had no hot water either. Luckily we only booked one night. Photos below show.. bugs in light fixture, water on floor and water leaking from ceiling..

We originally booked the suite, but they overbooked and didn’t prioritize our booking since it was through a third party website (booking.com). Instead, we stayed at the two bedroom condo and the difference was jarring. One bathroom had a weak AC unit and low water pressure in the shower. The other bathroom had low water pressure in the toilet and could only be flushed every 30 minutes to 1 hour. There were several stains on the sheets, chairs, and kitchen appliances. And we were missing things like a hair dryer which only come with the suites and not the condos. Overall, everything felt older and dirtier than the suite (which our friends successfully had during our stay). Our biggest gripe with the situation is that we paid extra to be in a more comfortable, renovated room and they did not provide that. They gave people who checked in after us their suites. Instead, they gave us a $20 refund.

Very old, very poorly maintained room. Our first floor room had a sliding door that didn’t lock. The security latch on the front door was broken. The AC in the main room was broken and had exposed electronics. There were stains on the couch and curtains. There were exposed cables in wall outlets. The shower door in the main bedroom didn’t close. On and on and on…

There was always something wrong. First the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms didn’t work so we moved rooms. Then one of the toilets wouldn’t flush so we moved rooms again. Then the third room another toilet wouldn’t flush but luckily they fixed the problem.

The facility is out of date. There is no hot water in the shower for the first two days during our stay, and internet didn't work for two days. Would be nicer if there is some basic stuffs in the room i.e napkin, table light.

No elevator,they gave us the very top floor. A 10min bath will take up to 30min because of the water pressure it’s only trickling water takes a long time to wash out the shampoo from your hair. The breakfast was in a different building that will take up to 5-7mins walk from our building. The location was too far from downtown that led us to call an uber everyday which is very expensive. Not very budget friendly. The breakfast (included in our stay) service is another story you can only pick 3 kinds or else you have to pay for extra. The milk and sugar is an extra cost for the coffee!! Not all people drink black coffee!! We brought our own creamer. The safety box doesn’t work, told the receptionist but didn’t do anything about it. Hard to cary all 5 passports everyday specially the only thing you do in Cabo is go swimming and enjoy the beach. You don’t want it to get wet or lost.

I hadn't anticipated the hilly terrain. I didn't anticipate any problems because of hills but when I go back I will prepare beforehand by becoming conditioned to hills
