Anytime I’m in San Diego this is my go to place to stay.

We love this place so much
Pros:

Everything about it is great. The property makes you feel secluded and safe. Awesome tropical vibes

We booked a king room. Got “upgraded” to a suite that was really nice but the bed was only a queen and it was a fold out bed from the wall. The AC on that side of the suite didn’t work so it was hot at night. The last night me and my husband slept on the pull out in the living room area with the working ac and it was better. We are also from AZ and love our ac. We were so grateful for the upgrade but the bed could have been a lot better. Hate to complain because everything else is always magical!

I was not aware of the cost of parking was not included on booking.com. It was 45$ a night which I did not budget. I am never going to use this service

They moved our king bed room to two queen beds and sold it as an upgrade. Our shower didn't work on arrival.

The location was excellent. The staff were really kind and professional.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit run down. The carpets were dusgysting. Old cabinets and furniture. Sliding window broken. Pool and jacuzzi not big enough fur such a large resort. High parking fee

I believe my stay was Okay but had the potential to be much better.
Cons:

I originally booked a garden room, when I arrived I was told the room was not ready and that I would be moved to a room in the tower. On the second night sometime after dinner a loud noise was heard in the room above us, I called the front desk, they said that there was a clogged drain and that they needed to snake it. I asked how long this would take they said another 30-60 minutes. Then I was told that they would work on it at another time, but the work continued on and off for another hour or so. That was not very nice to tell me one thing and do the opposite.

Our overall stay was incredible. The vegetation and wildlife were so beautiful.
Pros:

The Lava Java coffee shop was amazing and the food at the oceanic was delish!

Cons:

Our shower leaked onto the floor and drenched our towels.

This was a special family reunion and birthday celebration, the bay/pool/and beach access was great.
Pros:

Location is number one reason for booking.

Cons:

Lost and found assistance was lacking. Housekeeping staff communications were poor, as the front desk staff could never reach them.

Pros:

The location

Cons:

The room was next to the lobby and in front of some maintenance room so the noise was horrible all night. They started vacuuming at 5am. For the price per night you would expect something better or at least a bit of help because when I mentioned it they just said sorry.
