An attractive hotel, with lovely staff and lots of potential.
Pros:

The staff were welcoming and attentive, the hotel layout was inviting and attractive, and the location was great.

Cons:

Bed was uncomfortable as it was two twins with old, saggy mattresses creating a hard ridge down the middle. The TV system was poorly managed, and not easy to navigate; previous guests logged in on the system. The flowerbeds and pots were in need of attention. The bedroom was not clean: the fan in the bathroom and the rear of the TV were filthy. The room had seen better days.

A convenient one night stop-over with lovely staff!
Pros:

The room was big and had a comfy super king bed and modern shower. The bedding and towels were nice and clean - shame about the rest of the room.
The best thing about my stay were the staff, the ladies on reception, bar staff and the Scottish gentleman who was single-handedly running breakfast in the morning!

Cons:

The room had a really unpleasant smell and it was difficult to open the windows. Everything just felt grotty and unloved. The bedside tables and desk felt sticky, the lamps flickered and looked cheap. The TV signal was poor. And I wish I hadn't noticed the radiators...🤢

A lovely stay in a lovely part of the country
Pros:

Location was perfect. Staff friendly and very helpful. Great gym.
Irish breakfast waiter was brilliant, funny and very amenable, even though we arrived on different days, to ouy surprise he realised and sat our party of 7 together.

Cons:

Check in was very late and check out was very early.
With some of our party arriving a little earlier than 3pm there wasn't even a discussion to let us know if the rooms could be available earlier.
Personally, my only criticism is that after my room was refreshed it was left unlocked...

Ideal location, great food.
Pros:

Easy to get to, convenient for Southampton. Exceptional food, lovely feel to place.

Cons:

Loft room has limited head room & quite warm, although a fan is provided.
