Would return but a few touches need addressing
Pros:

The pub itself is lovely . Perfect location for the forest. Our room was very spacious. Bed was huge and very comfy. Spotless clean . Breakfast food was outstanding quality and taste . We got a good price.

Cons:

Complimentary toiletries not as advertised online - pictures need updating. Tea and coffee facilities were very basic for a superior room. The water was tap water in a large bottle , not actual bottled water . Water pressure very low in shower and took forever to warm up. Dirty bowls at breakfast.

Very comfy, pleasant night
Pros:

Comfy bed, big room, up-to-date shower room, yummy breakfast, cafetiere available in the room, nice coffee.

Cons:

We hope you'll make something of the beer garden in the summer, it's just a patio, more like the smoking area.

We both really enjoy our stay at the Bell Inn Hotel.
Pros:

The breakfast and evening could not have been better,all of the staff were loveley our room was nice and spacious with a large tv.

Not up to its usual standard
Pros:

The room was pleasant and clean.. The breakfast staff were great and food was excellent

Cons:

Night staff were terrible.....there seemed to be only one staff member working. We waited quite a while to be checked in. After being shown to our room we decided to go to the restaurant for a meal.
It wasn't busy. We sat at a table and waited..After a while I went and asked for a menu. The staff member said he would be over. We waited for about 35 minutes....not even a drink order taken....He seemed to be more interested in a table of people in the bar.
When he did eventually come over to the restaurant, he started taking an order from a table who had been in for about 5 minutes!!.
At that point we decided to leave. The staff member then followed us into the carpark to try and apologize. ...not very professional
we went to the pub across the road where we had a lovely meal.
We have visited on a few occasions and have always had a good experience.....but not this time

Lovely weeekend, would stay again but choose specific room
Pros:

Good location, lovely ambience , spotless, good food, very welcoming and attentive staff

Cons:

Booked a standard room because we had our dog with us, but it was tiny ( room 3) should have been a small double/cosy. Other standard rooms were bigger for same price.

Easy, relaxing stay! With lovely food and staff.
Pros:

Great location, staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Ample amounts of parking. Food was lovely and great quality. Dog treats and pack in the room was a fab addition.

The place lacks atmosphere and whilst a great location a pretty poor experience.
Pros:

Location, streaming services, breakfast was adapted as I am vegan (fresh avacado/sourdough was delicious) thank you

Cons:

Ordered a half portion of gnocchi with side of veg - it was not fresh gnocchi so I left half. The bill was £27, when challenged they said they don’t do half portions and I must pay full price. Eventually they unhappily took payment for a half portion.

Bath plug was faulty (didn’t retain water) mattresses were sunken and pillows too hard. Small shower also didn’t work. Glass was stuck to the tray - either sticky cleaning products or glass not been refreshed for some time.

Great location for my trip, if i had my golf clubs would have been superb!
Pros:

Location was great, bed was super comfortable.

Breakfast looked amazing although I only had a light breakfast. Near golf course which looked decent

Cons:

Hard to add to this point. The best I can come up with was the fire door between bedroom and ensuite.

Staff are so friendly and happy to help even when under a lot of pressure

We have stayed at this venue before and the breakfast was great, on this last stay it was very disappointing, very understaffed, poor quality products

Cons:

We had a wonderful stay the previous New Year, this New Year, we decided to stay in a dulux room, the bed was terrible, just 2 single beds pushed together, the bar and restaurant was so short staffed it made you feel like you didn't want to ask for a drink or food. The New Year Gala was advertised as 5 courses, it was only 3. and the quality was no where near as good as the year before. I just felt like it had gone down hill.
