Please be informed that Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) has announced a scheduled water supply disruption in Penang from 25th to 28th April 2025.

The hotel will remain fully operational during this period. We have taken proactive measures to ensure minimal disruption and maintain all our guests' comfort and convenience.

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a local government fee of MYR 2 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Right in the action but still peaceful.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, eager to please. Room was on the smaller side but functional. Air conditioning worked well but found we only needed the fan overnight. Pool was lovely and usually the only ones there. Easy to walk to lots of great restaurants. Breakfast was adequate. Great stay.

Cons:

The bathroom had a funky smell, it was clean so I think it may have been from the drain. Bed was way too hard but that seems to be normal in Malaysia. There was something smelly left in the fridge from a previous guest. Banging door in the morning otherwise fairly quiet.

Charming hotel with lots of history in a great location
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Would prefer if it started at 730 instead of 8 to get ahead of the heat of the day

Det perfekte sted i George Town - så flot og hyggeligt hotel med de venligste personale..
Pros:

Så flot stil og så hyggeligt. Super venligt personale og altid smilende. Central beliggende i byen og alligevel roligt. Vi nød poolen og omgivelserne. Super morgenmad.

Charming girl and a great location
Pros:

Beautiful building, friendly helpful staff, easy walking distance to town highlights, relaxed and varied breakfast to start the day.

Cons:

I liked it all. I thought some of the paths along Chulia street could do with a trip hazard make over like some of the side streets

Beautiful heritage hotel a very convenient location.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a very vibrant locality. There are countless restaurants, bars and shops within a ten minute walk.The staff are excellent. The breakfast was wonderful. Although small the swimming pool was perfect for cooling down after a hot day.

The location can be a bit noisy, because of the mixed nature of the street.
