Good location - parking very easy.
Plenty of communication from hotel along the booking process.
Rooms are clean but basic and rather dated - could do with an update. More could be made of this beautiful hotel with investment.
We had a sea view which was nice - tho our window handle was broken.
Breakfast was very good, location was excellent for the theatre, room was good.
Bed could have been more comfortable, bath was leaking into bathroom when showering.
Location. Room on the second night much better
First night superior room definitely wasn't a good standard. Bed had a big dip in it. Had to be moved to a basic room no superior room available. Asked for a bath which we got but the plug didn't fit. Horrible room 😡
The constant noise from the staff members running up and down, screaming, laughing and jumping around was very disruptive as we were trying to sleep. It was quite disappointing, especially considering the room we were assigned.
The location is awesome. You are right near the seafront, right near the town and near the pavilion for taking in a show.
The bed we had was a large kingsize or queensize. It was a lovely size bed. UNFORTUNATELY, this bed had the biggest dip around just over the halfway mark. This made sleeping in the bed horrendous. This should not have been available to use!!! More importantly, it should have been detected by staff beforehand!
The room was clean and well equipped
Dirty windows
The cleanliness, amazing staff, the room with sea view, the bar.
I didn't stay for longer :(
It was very spacious and clean
One night stay
Good location
Cleanliness
Lift dirty
Room ok but areas required cleaning
Comfy bed bathroom
Communal areas looked shabby. No information about the hotel in the room. Only 2 coat hangers, couldn't hang trousers, no other storage, ie drawers. Unable to get food after 8.30 even though we had been told we could get food in the bar..
Breakfast cups did not have saucers, breakfast OK but nothing special.
From the outside it’s a lovely old building and it’s a good location, just a 10 minute walk from pubs/restaurants and high street
The rooms and hallways are very dated, it’s like sleeping in your nan’s bedroom. The mattress was lumpy and really really uncomfortable. The bath tap was nearly falling off. The white shower curtain was brown at the bottom. The shower had barely any power and the towels had seen better days
Location was perfect.
It was clean and the staff were friendly
Location
Apart from reception staff and the philipino lady in the restaurant, the rest of the staff should be on suicide watch because they are so miserable.
Sort the bar area out. You lose so much money.
