I have been staying at the Churchill every few days for a month for work in the area. The rooms are impecably clean and well aportioned. I love the zoom nook in the Jr suites.
One evening I had a small issue with my heat and it was fixed in minutes with a very polite and proffesional Maintenance technician
I also find it smart that the staff always asks how your stay was.
Overall a great hotel experience
I would like to have the option to streaming service on the TV ie Netflix
the bed was comfortable; the location is nice
The breakfast was horrible, as was the service during the breakfast
Location and facilities and brakfast
nothing I did not like
Deborah at the front desk is awesome. I was in search of a cup of coffee and the coffee service was already put away for the day. She took the time to go get a cup of coffee. She was wonderful. Five stars.
Location
Reception at front desk were confused. Overcharged and had yo fix it. Wasted valuable time
I paid 100.00 for incidentals that was to be refunded afterwards. I never heard anything back and no refund. Would like to know what happened. jrivenbark@yahoo.com
We visited the Churchill after not being able to visit DC for about a year. As expected, the service was wonderful. Deborah was kind and accommodating. We truly enjoyed ourselves and this is why the Churchill is our only choice when visiting DC. More than likely we will be back within the next few months.
The room was very clean, they provided a microwave when we needed it, and the lobby/restaurant was very cute. One of the workers let us know about a parking garage near the hotel that was cheaper so that helped us a lot.
The staff was not very personable when I was asking about the price because they did not have our reservation when we got there for some reason. Also, they make you pay an additional $50 for breakfast with your stay but don’t tell you that you only get 2 options to pick from… the parking is also wildly expensive $70 a day
Era molto sporco. Il bagno era sporco, intendo che nemmeno era stato tirato lo sciacquone…Imbarazzante
I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times in the past. I liked the privacy, cleanliness and options for parking as it is very close to many things I like to do in DC.
I checked in my room, the initial attendant was very polite but after I checked in my room the cleaning team walked in as I was using the bathroom as the room was deemed not finished. Also, i paid $70 for valet parking and upon returning to the hotel at 1:30am the valet/security stated that he did not know how to operate the vehicle. That wasn’t really the issue. My issue was the next morning when I wanted to be refunded for the valet as I had to park my own vehicle. One attendant ask me why I didn’t just park on the street, another told me the payment was for the spot and parking the car on my own was not their problem. I was only offered a 10% refund which is a slap in the face. Not to mention, when checking out I was not asked how my stay was compared to other travelers when they were checking out. I’m pretty sure I know why. No accountability. There’s no reason I should not be refunded for valet when I had to park my own vehicle and walk back to the lobby at 1:30am.
Mooi klassiek hotel, beetje sleets maar zeer karaktervol
Wonderful, efficient service. Even though I arrived around midnight, the assistance I received was excellent. Loved the beautiful art and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
It wasn’t a concern for me, though I did notice a bit of rust in the bathroom that might be worth looking into.
