Central location
First room the shower did not work properly and the bathroom door was very dirty. We were given a room upgrade as a result, unfortunately the bathroom door broke with my wife stuck inside and a member of staff had to break the door to get her out. This was in the middle of the night.
Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Salisbury. The room was spacious, warm and very clean and comfortable. We loved the hotel lounge and cute courtyard and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Central location means there was a bit of noise at night as we were near pubs and a club, but nothing that prevented us getting a good night's sleep.

Also, there was a gorgeous black cat outside in the morning when I left (nothing to do with the booking but was really cute).
Only a personal preference that the bed was a little hard.
Also, the room was very creaky! Floor boards and bed. But 100% can expect that in such an old building, doesn’t affect the stay at all, just made me feel a little self conscious about walking around late at night as didn’t want to disturb the neighbouring rooms.

Lovely breakfast selection and proper fried eggs with runny yolk on the hot buffet.
Shower and hot tap did not produce any hot water. Decor tired in places, maybe just some big plants or similar to break up the four walls and furniture of the communal rooms. I appreciate the history, but it looked very dated and would benefit some division in the big rooms so you don't feels your sitting in a cafeteria.
Had to ask for tea bags at the start of our stay as only Earl Grey in the room which is not everyone's cup of tea!

Soggiorno fantastico! La camera era ampia, ristrutturata di recente e pulitissima. Il personale è stato estremamente cordiale e gentile, facendoci sentire subito i benvenuti.
La posizione è strategica per visitare Salisbury e il parcheggio interno è una comodità incredibile per chi viaggia in auto. Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo: vale assolutamente la spesa. Consigliatissimo!
Great old english hotel; charm and comfort.
Carrying bags up stairs and down halls through doors and then out to car. Car parking too far away.

Staff were happy and helpful at reception. They sorted out and explained the parking scratch card to us as we parked in the short stay car park close by. They also gave us ideas of where to eat in the evening. Staff around the hotel and working in the bar were helpful and informative and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable we had a great night's sleep. Our full English breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice on the menu. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay in a beautiful historic building which was ideally positioned in the heart of Salisbury and would definitely visit again.
We heard the hotel had a reputation for being haunted but we didnt have any sightings or experiences during our stay. Apart from that we liked everything.
This hotel has two car parking methods, very helpful
ON THE TV SYSTEM THEY DID NOT HAVE GB NEWS. I had to use my phone for my total stay.
