Clean and functional - just don’t expect luxury!
Pros:

The twin room in which I stayed was clean and functional. I appreciated the ability to use the free water dispenser on the 2nd floor, as that saves the need to buy bottled water (and generate plastic waste).

The reason that I chose this hotel was its proximity to Sandakan’s best vegetarian/vegan restaurant - Hainan Village (it’s a short walk away). Indeed, Hainan Village may be Sabah’s best vegetarian/vegan restaurant.

Cons:

The room was fairly basic - no chair, no jug, no mini-fridge, a single pump canister of liquid soap for both wash basin and shower. The decor is fairly dated (eg linoleum flooring). On the first night, the hot water in the shower didn’t work, but the owner fixed it on the following day.

The hotel is unattended and relies on WhatsApp for communication with guests. This arrangement works OK because staff do respond fairly promptly, however, it would potentially be a disaster if something happened to your phone - including running out of battery or, for some reason, you didn’t have data coverage in Sandakan. I mention this because I was only sent check in details (ie the code to access the building and my room) just before I arrived (after I had tried calling).

A very pleasant stay with a walk distance eateries and essential retailers.
Pros:

The hotel is strategically located within walking distance of various eateries and essential retailers like Watsons, Guardian, Switch, and a laundromat.

Cons:

The bathroom tiles in my room were cracked, allowing water to seep underneath. I dread to think what’s accumulating beneath the surface. The Hotel need to fix this.

Zimmer sind sehr sauber und das Hotel liegt zentral in einer Gegend mit Restaurants/Cafés und kleinen Supermärkten

Cons:

Leider kein Internet auf den Zimmer 113/114 nur auf dem Flur (Bei der Buchung beschrieben als „2 Single-Betten mit Fenster“)

Sehr gute Unterkunft mit gutem Preis.
Pros:

Twin Room war sehr gut. Die Handtücher waren besonders schön. Kommunikation über WhatsApp lief super. Sehr schnelle Antworten und sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Alles war so wie es sollte.

Jeg kunne lide man havde en seng og sove i, ikke mere

Cons:

Brusebadet var enten iskoldt eller kogende man kunne ikke putte imellem.

Der var et bord ved spejlet på værelset men ingen stol

Den lægger lidt væk fra centrum

Intet personale til stede men det stod der i forvejen.
