staff, convinience.
no hot water, but got moved straight away
Location was fine. Pub being on site was a bonus. Cheap.
First room I was offered had a random sound of a pump running coming through the wall every 5-10 seconds. This went on for about half an hour before I went to complain. First member of staff said that was the pump for the sink/showers and all rooms had it. It would be quieter when people weren't showering. Duty manager said it was from the boiler house or something similar and moved me to an upgraded room in another block. When changing rooms, I noticed the original room's sheets were soiled/stained also. New room wasn't particularly an upgrade but it was absent pump noises. However windows did not seal properly so a lot of noise coming through from the outside.
Clean, spacious, great location.
The noise coming from adjacent rooms every time they used their bathroom. Water pipes and extractor fans.
Handy location
Cobwebs everywhere, and not very clean. Heating broken.
Main issue was a ridiculously loud noise every time somebody turned on a tap or flushed the toilet. There’s obviously a pump located somewhere near my room, which meant I hardly slept.
I brought this to the attention of a very helpful and apologetic young team member in the morning who told me this is a regular issue depending on the room being stayed in.
She assured me that a manager would call me to discuss, but as this hasn’t happened I’ve marked down the scores accordingly.
Nice room, very spacious.
Poor maintenance, doors and windows not closing properly.
It was close to my daughter's house. They don't have room to put us up so we stayed at Mill on the Soar.
The rooms are pretty run down. Old wooden windows don't close properly. We found the breakfast choices were very confusing. Possibly to get guests to pay more
Convenience
I had no control over radiators. They were cold
The bed was fantastic
The bathroom
The bathroom door stuck and my husband got trapped in there
And the loo seat wasn't fixed very well to the loo keeped coming off
Close to where I needed to be
I was in the separate building at the back of the property and didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo traveler, man road was very noisy until late at night and very early in the morning
Good breakfast, cheap good dinmer and clean room.
