Highlight of our Yucatan holiday!
Pros:

Paradise on earth! This hotel set the bar so stupidly high against the rest of our trip. Wish we stayed longer! We will be back!!

We stayed in one of the huts on the street side but overlooking the adults-only pool + the beach.

The staff were excellent, very accommodating and helpful. We had some unexpected tropical rainstorms for a whole day which prevented being able to eat out (seriously the roads on Holbox flood like crazy!), but the staff were top tier. Food was excellent, cocktails brought to you to the beach.

Xaloc have their own private beach club which leads onto the main beach. Having walked up and down the beach and looking at other beach clubs, Xaloc was by far the best. With own sun loungers, service.

You won't regret booking this! We stayed for 3 nights and we still look back on Xaloc and wish we stayed longer!

Cons:

The only minor downside is on weekends the hotel next door will play music until about 1am. Wasn't a huge issue, and I know when I was researching hotels to book I saw less comments about this Vs other hotels on the island.

In hindsight I would have pushed for a hut not on the street side. But there's not much Xaloc can do about this.

The beach clubs in general are loud all over the island. THANKFULLY Xaloc doesn't play any of the annoyingly loud music - it really lives and breathes the zen mantra

Superbe séjour au cœur de la nature.
Pros:

L’accueil est chaleureux et professionnel. L’hôtel est en bord de plage et est très bien situé car le centre ville est à 10mn à pied. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et le restaurant aussi. Le séjour a été très agréable.

Cons:

Malheureusement la musique sur la plage des hôtels de chaque côtés se mélangeait et elle était trop bruyante.

Sejour au calme en bord de plage
Pros:

Emplacement idéal à bord de la plage, avec grand emplacement équipé. Lodges individuels confortables avec beaucoup de charme. Personnel hyper sympathique qui fournit un service de qualité.

Cons:

Il n’y avait le wifi que dans les espaces communs. C’est un choix parfait pour un séjour moins connecté 😉. Il faudrait juste en améliorer la qualité pour plus de confort d’utilisation.

Gerne wieder.
Pros:

Sauber und ordentlich, offene Badezimmer (Ausnahme: WC) integriert in Zimmer muss man mögen; sehr gut geführt, serviceorientiert. Sehr schöne Hotelanlage mit zwei Pools.

Gutes Frühstück, tolle Lage zu Strand und Zentrum von Holbox.

Benötigte Taxis wurden zuverlässig bestellt, und für den Abreisetag Breakfast-Boxen gepackt; toller Service.

Cons:

Am zweiten Tag wurde unser Zimmer nicht gemacht, war aber nicht schlimm. Frische Handtücher wurden gebracht, kurz durchfegt. Das hat dann schon gereicht. Fehler dürfen vorkommen, und wer putzt denn jeden Tag zuhause seine Wohnung.

Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig: die Warmwasserversorgung. Man kann sich allenfalls aus lauwarm freuen, häufig eher kühl - bei Tagestemperaturen >25 Grad Celsius auch eher Kritik auf hohem Niveau 😎.

Unser Zimmer mit der Belegung von 4 Erwachsenen (keine Sorge - nur für 3 Nächte) ist etwas klein. Das wir mit diesen kleine französischen Doppelbetten unbequem.

Da wäre ein Hinweis doch etwas hilfreicher, mit der Booking-KI-Suche finden sich nämlich Hotels mit Kingsize-Betten, aber in der Zimmerbeschreibung fehlt es dann halt.

Alors avis mitigé. En fonction de l’endroit où vous louez je pense que l’expérience n’est pas la même : nous ont avais la suite parentale au fond : bruit toute la nuit des clims des autres chambres, aucune pression dans la douche notre séjour a été un peu gâché. L’environnement est très beau, les piscines, l’accès plage et même l’emplacement de l’hôtel tout était très bien à ce niveau.
Le petit déjeuner était top. Par contre le premier matin nous nous sommes installés dehors et nous avons été oublié servis plus d’une heure après commande.
Pas de wifi dans les chambres (nous ça nous allait très bien nos ados un peu moins 😉)

Charmigt boende precis vid stranden
Pros:

Fin anläggning med charm. Läget vid stranden. Det var nära till stranden, restauranger och butiker.
Bungalowen var rymlig.
Bänken med två handfat och speglar var perfekt för två kvinnor 🙂
Frukosten var mättande och god.
Vi beställde lunch till stranden varje dag - perfekt.
Hotellet serverade mycket goda margaritas.
Hotellet ordnade bekväm transfer från Cancuns flygplats.

Cons:

Många har redan nämnt att wifi fungerar dåligt.
Det är bättre att ligga på stranden närmast havet än vid hotellet. Vägen som går emellan är mycket trafikerad. Solstolarna närmast havet kan behöva en uppdatering, men det var ok. Förmiddagarna är bäst då baren bredvid inte spelar musik.
Bungalowen har palmbladstak. Det är charmigt men innebär noll ljudisolering. De där fordonen kör precis utanför och låter hiskeligt, mycket mer än vanliga bilar. Första natten trodde vi att det var helikoptrar! En kväll var det bröllop på hotellet bredvid och det kändes som att ligga mitt på dansgolvet. En natt blåste det mycket och det hördes verkligen. Så öronproppar är ett måste.

Pros:

This hotel could be easily a 10, however it is the little things that put it down. First of all, the staff was the least friendly we have encountered in Mexico. Everyone did their job but no one smiled (check in lady, the guys in the breakfast service). The breakfast was very tasty but it took ages - the third day we waited one hour and twenty minutes for two egg omelettes and two crepes. I am aware that there were many guests but additional staff in the kitchen would be probably advisable. The bungalow was very nicely decorated and comfortable, however the thatched roof had holes in it, allowing some uninvited guests to come inside (in our case, a scorpion). Similarly, the mosquito net above the beds are working only if they do not have holes in it - ours unfortunately had. The cleaning was daily, however not very thorough and this was the only accomodation in Mexico where we had cockroaches. The kids pool is very nice but squeezed really close to the bungalows so I can imagine that the screaming kids (ours included) could disturb other guests. The beach is beautiful, I just do not understand why there are so few sunbeds and why the hotel does not clean the seagrass. All in all, it was a good stay instead of a great one we had expected.

Pros:

Notre bungalow "quasi" sur la plage était parfait ! La décoration est magnifique. Le lit est très confortable.
L'emplacement et l'accès direct à la plage sont un vrai plus.

Cons:

Seul petit bémol, l'eau de la douche n'est pas super chaude ;) mais comme il faisait 26° ça n'a pas été trop dérangeant !
