Beautiful historic hotel with friendly owners and great location
Pros:

Beautiful historic property with spacious comfortable rooms in the centre of Bruges. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The private parking available was super convenient and perfect for our road trip!

A nightmare
Cons:

I got stuck in the lift going up, I did manage to get the lift to go down to the bottom where I contacted the owner. He implied this has not happened before and it was something I had done. We then went in the lift which broke down half way between floors and I had to crawl out. After being repaired, it also happened again with my wife and I in there. The door hook on the bedroom door fell off when you put a coat on it. The heating broke down when the snow was falling, and the last thing was the S bend leading from the bathroom sink came away from the wall. The hotel staff did nothing to sort this out even after we had asked them to telephone a plumber. The owner said that this does not happen on its own and said what have you done, which i was shocked at the accusation and it was exceedingly aggressive towards me. When asking the receptionist to phone a plumber, the reply was "don't tell me what to do".

The most magical city in Belgium!
Pros:

Lovely 1 night stay in Bruges! The hotel was nice, clean and safe. Location was within walking distance to many of the local sites and was very convenient to get to from the train station.

Cons:

Our room was on the top floor and the shower/tub was interesting due to the angles of the ceilings, but we made it work!

Lovely hotel in an excellent location with friendly, helpful staff
Pros:

Excellent location....quiet but close to everything. The staff were lovely...very friendly and helpful. The hotel.has character and is cosy and comfortable.

Cons:

Very small points....the kettle was temperamental!
And could only get Sky News in English on the TV...couldn't seem to connect to BBC 1 and BBC2.

Cute vibes and good location without the noise and crowds!
Pros:

This hotel was so charming and very easy to walk to everything we wanted to see in Bruges. Sergeis the night clerk was very kind and helpful with recommendations, directions, and even making us a few drinks in the bar. We loved the charm of the hotel and garden. Only disappointment was it listed shower when booking which was important to one of us and it ended up being a tub with a handheld shower head and the ceiling wasn’t tall enough to stand in the tub. We made it work and that was the only negative.
