Wonderful hotel set in a terrific part of the country

Great place to experience Nairn a jewel in the Highlands
Pros:

Great venue , views and location. Room and an upgrade was most welcome . Had a lovely meal in my namesake’s restaurant (Chaplin’s). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Well done Newton hotel 👍

Access roads - lots of potholes

Pros:

Breakfast very good/ plentiful. Staff attentive

Cons:

Fine establishment, but a bit weathered. Outside window trim could be painted, touch up paint in some indoor area needed etc to make Muhta a real showcase.

Pros:

Excellent location and grounds. Food is very good. Some people may say that the room, especially the bathroom, is very dated. In my opinion, everything worked very well, and I would not mark it down for this. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

My only criticism was the very limited shelf space in the bathroom. There was no space for my electric razor or toothbrush.

Pros:

Location was stunning with a view of the Moray Firth and Highland Cows in the grounds.

They are also trying to cater for vegans, and are looking to improve the offerings but had all the basics needed for a decent breakfast, supplied oat milk to the room.

Staff were fantastic

Cons:

For this type of hotel and location, there wasn't much to not like.

Was only there for 1 night. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the price was the lowest in the area. All in all

Pros:

Beautiful surroundings, minutes walk to the beach. Highland cows in front of the hotel.
Impeccably clean, lovely decor. Evening meal in the restaurant was delicious.

We had a delightful stay at the Newton Hotel.
Pros:

I chose the Newton Hotel for my birthday treat from my husband. We were delighted with the room followed by breakfast
the following 2 mornings. We had a delicious meal for dinner on the second night as we were meeting friends on our first night there.

Cons:

I cannot think of anything that could have been better.
