Lovely building, very nicely designed. Great location.
My room was close to the street and bit of noise but nothing too serious. Great room could do with redecorating. Again nothing too serious.
Location was good
No real sense of a welcome in the Reception Rooms were outdated. When we got out of lift on 6th floor, carpet was filthy
Would stay again, great breakfast
Great location, reception and bar area.
Room was very tired, lots of stains in the carpet and switches that didn’t do anything
Jess was amazing and very helpful
rooms were dirty and worn, not comfy and very noisy
we got upgraded when we checked in, and honestly it was such a treat. our room was very comfortable, not noisy at all, and considering the location was so central, this was a pleasant surprise.
there is a lovely smell in the reception area.
no face cloths in the bathroom, and our shower could have done with a door, I was using the handheld shower head rather than the waterfall head, and it was very difficult to not create a mess.
sign on the outside of the building was tiny and hard to find when we arrived late at night, the writing was very small.
Perfect location! Hotel is really modern and facilities are great. Breakfast had a good selection too.
Pillows were a little uncomfortable
Lobby is beautiful, rooms are clean and a decent size. Fridge and safe in room for use. Walkable location for venues and restaurants.
Noisy location (ground floor), room in need of re-painting and carpets are marked and worn in hallways. Flickering light in room.
Stayed here for 2 nights midweek for a work conference in the city. Location is excellent, very central. Less than 15 min walk from Piccadilly train station. Walking into hotel was inviting, nicely decorated, friendly staff and nice vibe. Had breakfast both mornings I was there and it was really nice, lots of variety. Room seemed newly decorated, plaster on the walls was a bit odd but can see it’s the kind of ‘look’ the hotel is going for. Room was very spacious, don’t think I’ve ever had such a big hotel room but speaking to my colleagues also staying, there was a variety across the room size and decor. The exposed piping/ air con system was what causes the issue here. If I could upload videos to show I would have but I’ve never heard anything so noisy. The first night I had about 2 hours sleep which was not ideal to say the least especially considering I had a conference to attend the following day. Reading other similar reviews, it doesn’t seem like anything can be done as a quick fix as it’s just the way the hotel has been designed to not cover them out. If this issue was resolved I would give this hotel a higher rating. Unfortunately the poor sleep due to the unbearable noise means I would not return and would not recommend. I think it’s luck depending on what room you are given as to what the noise is like.
