We arranged a room block at Walker Hotel Greenwich Village for our recent executive summit in the area and had a great experience. Lilian and Trevor were wonderful to work with - responsive, helpful, and accommodating to our group’s needs.
Our guests enjoyed the in-room amenities, morning lobby coffee, evening jazz, and convenient location. The team went above and beyond to ensure a positive stay. Highly recommend for group accommodations.
Location is great. Jazz in the afternoons with a hot drink was very welcome.
Bedrooms are dark and wardrobe space very limited. The bar / lounge area is cold in parts.
Staff were very mixed; some lovely and others very unhelpful.
Hotel location is ideal in Greenwich Village. Staff is fantastic - front desk, valet, housekeeping, bar & restaurant. The rooms are small but the view and amenities are exceptional.
A hotel that sublimely merges New York City old school with decadent modern appointments and level of service.
From the moment I came through the front door and began checking in, Alexandria was wonderfully happy, delightful to work with, and helpful. She and her team took it up a notch, by helping me find a comfortable place to sit by the fire and offering a sweet gift of cookies for our stay.
The rooms are wonderfully appointed, with spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds, and classy touches to make one stay even better.
The location is divine, in the heart of Greenwich Village, near University Avenue, a few blocks from Washington Square, Park, but also close to subways, shops, and everything one might need.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The hotel was beautiful, staff was kind and helpful, location was fabulous, and the rooms were comfortable and welcoming. The perfect home away from home while in NYC.
The location was great, hotel was clean with great ambiance and was very quiet!
The room was very hot, and when I initially expressed the need for a fan, it was not honored. It was provided eventually, but it was still very hot. The pillows were very comfortable with softness but after a while they provided no neck support so I was quite uncomfortable on the 3rd night.
The restaurant and staff
Very congested
Decor was poor ( mix of things that don’t fit and are jarring to eye
Small room and low ceilings
Location, lobby area and staff
very poor storage/hangers/shelves
Lovely hotel and ambience! The rooms are small though. and the one I had was quite dark (some kind of overhead lighting or sconce is needed). The double room has no storage space at all (except for the hanging closet) and is very cramped, but the single room I had last time was fine space-wise. The bathroom is modern, attractive and well lit.
Overall, I was happy, except I wouldn't recommend the double room for its lack of space.
Not a lot.
The photos don't convey the property as it is. The rooms are small, the corridors narrow and the small windows to the street are dirty (management don't invest in outside window cleaners). Except for the top floors the views only look at the building across the street. The lift hadn't been vacuumed for weeks. Checked out writhing 24 hours.

excellent location. Fantastic breakfast. Recommend springing for a view of the Empire State if the budget allows. Staff were wonderful. Love the deco theme.
Our room was oddly musty and it was hard to determine the origin of the smell. The staff was incredibly accommodating and kindly brought us a freestanding AC but I wouldn’t have wanted to spend too many hours in the room itself.
this was our first stay at the Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village. The room was a nice size and had everything we needed to be comfortable for 6 nights. Very comfortable bed, chairs to sit in and writing desk, minibar with 1/2 bottles of wine, small closet and safe. writing desk, lots of outlets and very clean. Two elevators. Generally the rooms were quiet but we could hear people talking in one of the rooms either next to us or upstairs. Lobby is very nice for sitting and relaxing and listening to music. Coffee in the morning at front desk and hot cider throughout the day. Staff were excellent, restaurant /bar was open and was very good with very nice and interesting and caring employees. We will definitely return to this hotel. It is very convenient and rooms and amenities are nicer than the two other hotels in the area.
Excellent vibes. A great place to relax. The room is small and dark as per the reviews but the lounge area is so welcoming it makes up for it. The restaurant is also lovely. There is live music most nights, free coffee and apple cider. Very nice.
