Stay was lovely great location and comfy bed
Cons:

There was only one bath towel for both of us to share.
The fish and chips looked like they were bought in rather than cooked fresh

De plek vlakbij de zee. Het hotel is oud, maar aan de eisen van de tijd aangepast.

Cons:

Parkeren is alleen gratis als je op tijd komt. Er is weinig plaats. Opvallend is het bureaucratische gedrag van sommige personeels leden

Glad we were on here for one night
Pros:

The location was good for an early start for Le Shuttle

Cons:

Parking - only 12 spaces and one of these was taken by a motorcycle.
The street parking was suspended for the period of our stay with no advanced warning from the hotel.
No water in the rooms.

Pros:

wunderbares viktorianisches Gebäude mit viel Flair, tolle Lage in Schrittweite zur Strandpromenade in ruhiger Seitenstraße, sehr gute Küche, schönes Frühstücksbuffet

Cons:

Restaurant leider nicht in dem schönen viktorianischen Ambiente, sondern modern mit zu kühl eingestellter Klimatisierung

We had a a lovely peaceful 4 day staycation with lots of gorgeous sunny weather
Pros:

Lovely old building full of history, very imposing from the outside and didn’t disappoint inside either with its fantastic stained glass windows at the top of the grand staircase … stunning.
It has had a major refurb and the colour scheme in the bedrooms restaurant and bar are fabulous, everything was very comfortable and calming.

Mein Aufenthalt im Burlington Hotel BW Premier Collection by Best Western begann mit einem sehr freundlichen und höflichen Empfang an der Rezeption. Nach einer langen Motorradtour aus Deutschland war ich froh, angekommen zu sein, und habe mich besonders auf eine erfrischende kalte Dusche gefreut.

Leider musste ich feststellen, dass die Duscharmatur im Badezimmer in einem sehr schlechten Zustand war. Zudem kam ausschließlich heißes Wasser, und es war nicht möglich, die Armatur auf kalt umzustellen. Ich meldete das Problem direkt an der Rezeption, wo man mir freundlich zusicherte, sich darum zu kümmern. Leider konnte das Problem bis zum Abend nicht behoben werden und ich wurde auf den nächsten Tag vertröstet.

Am folgenden Tag fragte ich erneut nach und konnte dank einer sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterin schließlich in ein anderes Zimmer umziehen, in dem eine kalte Dusche möglich war. Allerdings trat in diesem Zimmer in der darauffolgenden Nacht ein weiteres Problem auf: Die Steckdosen funktionierten plötzlich nicht mehr, sodass ich meine Geräte nicht laden konnte. Zunächst vermutete ich einen Defekt an meinem Adapter von Deutschland nach England, doch am nächsten Morgen stellte sich heraus, dass mehrere Zimmer betroffen waren und ein Elektriker gerufen werden musste.

Diese technischen Probleme haben den ansonsten positiven Eindruck des Hotels leider etwas getrübt. Die Ausstattung des Hotels hat mir grundsätzlich sehr gut gefallen, die Zimmer waren sauber, die Betten bequem und der allgemeine Komfort war zufriedenstellend. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals, das sich stets bemüht hat, Lösungen zu finden. Als Entschädigung wurden mir sogar zwei eiskalte Limonaden angeboten – eine nette Geste.

Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel wieder buchen und kann es grundsätzlich empfehlen.

Pros:

The attitude of the female front line staff who fixed all the problems we had very quickly. She moved us from our room to a better refurbished room but did have scaffolding outside the window. However, the shower temperature was very hot!
The location of the hotel to the Leas area was good.

Cons:

The original room was small, very warm and did not have cold water in the taps and shower. It was so hot that it was impossible to have a shower!! The telephone did not work, so we had to walk down to reception.
When ordering some drinks in the bar downstairs, the barman took our order and completely failed to deliver them! We walked out after a long wait and reported that to reception. As an act of goodwill, the receptionist did have the drinks delivered to our new room for free.

Good food, nice staff, clean.
Pros:

The room was clean. The staff were very friendly and the grounds were beautiful. I enjoyed eating in the restaurant downstairs although and the food i did have was very good however all three nights of my stay they didnt have various menu items available.

Cons:

The room was very clean, and i think ordinarily would have been very comfortable. Although, my visit coincided with one of the recent heatwaves and the desk fan just didn't cut it. I tried to keep the windows and blinds shut but my room on the third floor basically cooked all day and was too hot to sleep in at night.
