A pleasant room, clean and well-equipped. The public sitting areas were very pleasant, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was very good and the food was excellent at breakfast and dinner. The bar was attractive and had a very nice outdoor sitting area. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Room 220 had five steps up to the very heavy door. We managed OK, but a lot of people who have difficulty with steps would not. The weather was cool when we were there, but had we been there during the recent heat-waves the room would have been very hot even with the windows open and, incidently, having the windows open allows pigeons to try to enter, even though there are anti-bird spikes on the outside windowsill. The pigeons just ignore them!
Location and free parking.
Limited parking, had to wait 10 mins for cocktail order, as bar tender unaware how to make.
Could not work out how to change shower setting from freestanding (overhead) to hand held wand.
Also disappointed that were unable to have a cup of coffee, before we checked out, noting we chose not to have breakfast.
Very comfy bed and very friendly staff . Very comfy bed
A bit noisy corridor when people passing by and can not open the windows for noise of the traffic. Air conditioning would be great
The patio bar was an absolute delight, the staff members were so diligent. Perfect summer evening eating delicious food, drinking fabulous wine and cocktails.
No aircon. No movement of air in the height of summer. Carpark small, parking now a fee along the street.
Parking was a huge issue at night . All the roads are full. The hotel is very dated and dusty. The noise travels from the room above. It was so loud when they got up and showered. Woke us up with a start. Breakfast was nice but small plates . Very noisy room to eat . You were expected to use your fingers to put salt on your meal . The staff were very polite and helpful.
Great location to the sea and to the Channel Tunnel. They provided a doggy bed and bowl which was great.
The bed was not very comfortable and my room was opposite the lift that was loud during the night.
Lovely room, lovely quite location
Very classy hotel with fancy rooms, great breakfast and a nice location
No airco
The location and girl on reception was very helpful and friendly.
So uncomfortable
Size of bedrooms
Lack of parking
Location was perfect and the restaurant food was great
The parking was restricted to only 12 cars on a first come first served basis. We were lucky to get a space otherwise you have to get a parking permit for on street parking.
Lovely
Location and beautiful building , very well looked after and clean
Nothing
Beautiful property. Rooms were a good size.
Don’t rely on being able to use the EV chargers. There was a non-EV car parked in one of the spots and the staff wouldn’t do anything to help move it. This meant the instead of being able to drive straight to my destination in Netherlands the next morning, the first day of my trip the next day was spent trying to find EV charging while in France to be able to reach my destination. Due to this I probably wouldn’t book here again.
