Important information:

**Reception Hours and Contact Information**

Reception is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. An emergency contact number is available for urgent matters outside of these hours.

**Key Collection and Self-Check-In Process**

Keys must be collected from the left side of the Ocean Apartments reception, located on the ground floor of Block C at 2 Western Harbor Midway, Edinburgh, EH6 6PN.

Ocean Apartments operates on a self-check-in basis. Guests are required to:

- Submit a valid form of photo identification via email.
- Complete a £100 security deposit pre-authorization per apartment using the provided link. Please note, this is a virtual hold; the amount will be frozen on your account but not charged.

Guests must contact the management team at least 24 hours prior to arrival to arrange the self-check-in process. Check-in instructions will only be issued once all requirements have been fulfilled.

**Group Bookings Policy**

Ocean Apartments maintains a strict *No Group* policy. We do not accept bookings for certain groups, including single-sex parties, hen, and stag groups. Additionally, we reserve the right to decline bookings from guests residing in EH postcodes and surrounding areas.

**Children's Facilities**

A child's high chair and/or travel cot can be provided upon request and subject to availability.
Please note: bed linen is not supplied for cots.

**Housekeeping**

Please be aware that daily housekeeping is not provided. A weekly cleaning service is available for stays of 7 nights or longer.

**Additional Information**

- Breakfast packs are not available.
- Smoking on-site is strictly prohibited and will incur an additional charge of £200.
- This property does not accommodate hen, stag, or similar parties.

**Arrival Information**

Guests are kindly requested to inform Ocean Serviced Apartments of their expected arrival time in advance. This can be done via the Special Requests box at the time of booking or by contacting the property directly using the details provided in the booking confirmation.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Nice and clean, location is fantastic very close to city centre and very quiet.

Great family apartment...
Pros:

Apartment was just what we needed. Safe and secure. Indoor parking was a bonus and it was close to bus stops.

Cons:

Need to out door stoppers on the doors to keep them open. It felt a little closed off.

View from lounge/kitchen. Apartment was very cosy.

Cons:

Unfortunately the lounge/kitchen area had a very strong smell of fish. Bedroom 1 wallpaper coming off wall, curtains not properly on track, carpet very poor quality and badly stained. Paintwork needs TLC in both bedroom 1 and en suite. Bedroom 2, fitted wardrobe has a very bad crack and the doors have not been hung properly. As with bedroom 1, carpet horrible. Painting required in this room and the bathroom

Very nice place, highly recommended.
Pros:

Very clean, larger rooms than I'd expected. Well looked after building. Nice views of the Firth of Forth (I think...) from the windows.
Bus terminus across the road, Asda a five minute walk away.
As an example of how well looked after it was, there was a problem with the lift one day that they let me know about by email and it was fixed the same day, 10/10.

Definitely would return one day !!
+ Self check-in and check-out.
+ Lovely location, direct bus to the city centre (keep in mind ca. 30min drive), nice harbour view (if you have upper apartment).
+ Very spacious apartment, we had two bedrooms and one large living room with kitchen, two bathrooms.
+ Good equipment in the kitchen, good enough for preparation of different kind of food. Big refrigerator with freezer, microwave, oven, some small groceries provided (sugar, tea, salt,...). Enough of pots & pans.
+ Reliable internet, works perfectly, fast.
+ Safe location, even in the late evenings.
+ Cafe down at the corner. Great!

Cons:

Only few comments (not negatives in general) which should help others to be prepared for the stay:
- There is not a single EU plug in the whole apartment, only UK plugs. Don't forget to bring your own electrical plug reductions.
- Beds were surprisingly shorter, definitely not like EU standard 2m. We had to sleep diagonally on the bed and I am a common 1.8m tall man.
- One common duvet for a double bed. We would prefer two single duvets.
- Be prepared for heating with electrical converters in each room and they works very unreliable, but it's UK standard.
- Hot water supply is somehow limited for group of four, not able to have a shower one by one in a row, have to wait at least 30-45min after second shower for heating additional water. On the other hand, separate boiler for each apartment in a block of apartment is a benefit as you have your own hot water and can plan showers, having hot water....
- Nearly forgot to mention, all interior doors are self-closing doors. We had never opened/closed doors in a week so many times as here..never ever..

One REALLY negative feedback:
Check-out strictly at 10:00 or 25£ for EACH additional hour. Excuse that it's due to the cleaning "on-time" for new arriving check-in's is a bad excuse as everywhere else it works, only here not. 25£ for each hour is a crazy robbery.

Pros:

Mooi schoon appartement met alle aanwezige faciliteiten - prima keuken en prima slaapkamers en prima badkamers.
Met parking eenvoudig te bereiken met lift vanuit appartement
Bus 11 direct voor de deur.

Cons:

Eigenlijk geen minpunten, op één minpuntje na: er is geen koffiezetapparaat. Er is wel voldoende oploskoffie en theezakjes aanwezig.

De locatie was top, bus voor de deur. Gezellige buurt verderop, goed eten en sfeer.

Cons:

Hoewel persoonlijk was het bed was toch wel aan de harde kant en kraakte flink. Daarnaast zijn de drangdeuren die automatisch achter je dicht gaan vervelend. Deze klappen continu hard dicht en piepen ook wel...Een deur moet gewoon open kunnen blijven als je dat wilt toch?😉

Me gustó el departamento y la ubicación era linda pero alejada de todo lo que se puede ver de Edimburgo en una primer visita. Se requiere tomar bus de 30minutos al centro. Fuera de eso todo muy lindo y el personal muy atento. Atte, Barbara
