Minus für Lüftung und check-in
Pros:

Riesige Wohnung, sehr schöne Einrichung, tolle Lage in einer Wohngegend und am Wasser. Wir haben an der Straße geparkt, direkt vor dem hotel, das ging gut. Der Mensch beim Troubleshooting für den checkin war sehr nett.

Cons:

Die Lüftung ist extrem laut, besonders im Schlafzimmer und lässt sich nicht abstellen. Wären wir nicht nur eine Nacht da, wäre das ein Grund zur verfrühten Abreise und leider der Hauptminuspunkt am hotel.
Beim Versuch die Schlafcouch aufzubauen sind Krümel sie der Sofaritze gefallen, was ein bißchen eklig. Die Küchenausstattung ist sehr basic. Könnte man mit leben.
Was aber der absolute nervigse Punkt war: wir haben im Vorfeld keine Email zum elektronischen checkin bekommen. Der Mensch für das troubleshooting war extrem nett, aber am Ende waren wir eine halbe Stunde beschäftigt- auch weil es 2 Gebäude gibt, in dem Zimmer sind und wir natürlich erst am falschen waren. Also schon im Vorfeld auf Emails vom hotel achten und ggf. Nachfragen! Dann ist das wahrscheinlich eine angenehme Art einzuchecken.

A See Saw - it could have been a great stay with a better check in and a quieter fan.

The location is fantastic, the unit is well-equipped and very clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The digital check-in was a nightmare! For some reason we were not provided with an access code right away and trying to connect to a human using the telephone number provided proved almost impossible. Eventually one member of our party was able to get through and we were provided the access code. Our wait was more than 45 minutes. This process was challenging and frustrating.
While the unit was comfortable, we found the constant noise of the HVAC fan was disrupting and we had a restless sleep, Take good ear plugs if a noise like this would bother you.

Why this might not be a good option for some travellers
Pros:

Clean and new modern decor, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen. In beautiful Steveston, walking distance to the shops and restaurants.... I would have given a 10/10 if it wasn't for the two things mentioned below that made our stay very unpleasant.

Two things why this might not be good for some travellers, especially international travellers.

This is not a hotel. It is not mentioned in the listing description that there is no on site check in desk with a person. It is a building with suites and you enter via a key pad code. You will receive a link to an app and have to check in online, because there is no check in desk. If you are successful with the online check in, the app will show you the entry code.

There is no cell phone reception or barely any cell phone reception in the area. If you don’t have a Canadian SIM card to call the help desk, because the online check in doesn’t work, you won’t be able to check in. So your option is to drive around to an area with Wi-Fi or cell phone reception. We are Canadians and had cell phones, but we struggled with the check in link.

Second, the automatic air ventilation in the room is very loud and it cannot be turned off. It runs all day and night. So pack your earplugs, otherwise you won’t get a rest at night. For light sleepers the noise is unbearable. We almost checked out after the first night, but decided to stay for the second that we had booked.

Cons:

This is my second stay at this property and the noise from the air conditioning system was extremely annoying!!
I would definitely never request that suit again

A one bedroom suite in a great location but without any staff.
Pros:

This was really an apartment or condo rather than a hotel. It was modern, well looked after and comfortable with lots of modern conveniences. The fully electronic check in process was easy. The location is fantastic as Steveston is quite lovely.

Cons:

The app for the door lock did not work particularly well - like only once or twice so I usually had to punch in the door code rather than use my phone. In addition the heat pump made a strange noise in the night like a draining tap. It was fairly loud, to the point that I got out of bed to ensure I hadn't left a tap on somewhere. Once I realised it was just the heat pump I was able to ignore it and go back to sleep.
