Excellent location
Pros:

Fab location and room was lovely

Cons:

There was no hot water on our 2nd morning which wasn’t ideal as we were in a rush to leave.

Looked after at the Regent
Pros:

Very comfortable bed (and we are fussy about this), clean room, nice, helpful and friendly staff (special mention for Stephanie on reception, goes over and above). Excellent location, beautiful views and lovely breakfast but being entirely honest it was a bit cold both mornings. Unusual decor, and comfortable chairs and sofas. We will be back and that says it all.

Cons:

The temperature of the breakfast and the tea / coffee, I like this hot. The look of it outside, the retro looks and the colours are not to my taste but that's just cosmetics.

Pros:

Terrible. Got there to be told the swimming pool was closed for maintenance (biggest reason we booked). Family room was facing the back with view of buildings. Beds uncomfortable. Could barely understand all the staff (no Scottish staff at all). Food overpriced and mediocre at best. The only good thing is the location.

Poor hotel
Pros:

Hotel cancelled our booking last year and this year, obviously does not have any staff,no communication only an email to cancel,tried to contact the hotel to no avail,they said we could go to the muthu regent hotel.
I tried to contact them about this,no reply.
Poorly run hotel,inadequate staffing and a manager who cannot manage.
On reflection we are staying in an independent hotel,which we have used before, garenteed a warm welcome and great facilities.
Looking forward to the closure of the muthu hotels in Oban due to poorly run facility.
We will never go back to this group.
I have wrote this review as a warning to others.....beware

We loved it. Hope to be back.
Pros:

Plenty of choice, very tasty products, well presented self service buffet. Only complaint was that food would have been better if it was HOTTER.

Cons:

Hotter food and some engagement with staff.

The location in the town

Cons:

big cap on door which shook in the wind. A cheaper type room behind the hotel. Cobwebs on ceiling. Cleaners came at tea time and only emptied bins and made beds

I loved the views from my room and this will certainly make me book another stay at your hotel.
Pros:

The view from our bedroom was absolutely fantastic.

Cons:

Dinner menu can be a bit more adventurous unfortunately we had to go out and have a bit of Steak. Closing time for the restaurant is rather too early. We were sat at the bar and wanted a bit of snacks at 8.40pm and we could not get anything. Restaurant was closed

Because of hard bed, would not recommend...
Pros:

The hotel over all was fine...the pool was lovely...had it all to myself on the two mornings we were there...the lounge area was nice, also the dining area looked nice...we didn't eat at the hotel.the room was okay. With a view of the bay...

Cons:

The bed was so hard I got very little sleep, if any...cut our stay short after two nights. Complained after first night, but they could offer us no other room...when checking out they then offered another room, but we decided to leave it.
