The location was great and easy access to the financial district. It’s nice to stay in boutique hotels. The rooms were decorated in a chic manner. The staff were incredible- especially Irene at the front desk- she took great care of me! Thank you and I’ll be back!
I had to stay here for a work trip but wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a nice comfortable stay. It feels very cold and older but some modern touches. No water is provided other than a water machine on the 2nd floor. Some rooms are interior facing and feel like a jail cell (I had to move rooms). Every room is very different so you aren't sure what you're going to get. The AC is a window unit so if you're on a lower floor it's very loud and you can hear the street bc the window is not fully secure. I would give this a 3 star hotel experience nad personally would not return.
Everything about it
The parking fee seemed unreasonable. But it is SF
I liked that it was near the Cheesecake Factory since I don't get to eat there very often. Walking around the neighborhood in the evening didn't feel very safe. It was nice being able to park right next door at the Westin Hotel and not having to walk very far to get the car.
I stayed 4 nights at Hotel G during a yearly event at Moscone convention center, along with several colleagues. This has been my best hotel experience so far in San Francisco. We noted that the rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and the location more than adequate to be walking distance to Moscone and reasonably safe compared to nearby streets, though you should always pay attention. It was easy to find good restaurants nearby for breakfast and dinner. Every interaction with the Staff was pleasant, but they may sometimes be limited by available hotel equipment or policies. My colleagues appreciated their experience and would gladly stay at Hotel G again.
Location
Reception staff is a bit slow and unbothered 🥲
Great location! Block away from union square.
Dislike elevator that you have to use your room key. When checking in my hands a full I’ve tucked away the key only to find out it’s needed to get elevator to move. I understand it’s for the security of staff and guests but I just wish there was another way.
Honestly there is nothing I didn’t like about the property. Except elevator.
Good location
doesn’t have to-go paper coffee cups, walls are rather thin and can hear people talking outside room
Quiet, locations
Nothing
My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel G for the first time for a wedding weekend, and we had a great experience. The location is excellent, within walking distance to a lot of places, with a really good diner right across the street. It’s also close to many stores and BART, which made getting around easy. I felt very safe during our stay, and it wasn’t too loud at all.
I especially want to give a shout out to Irene at the front desk. She helped us tremendously. We initially asked if we could leave our bags at the front, but she went above and beyond by looking for an available room so we could check in early. She clearly knows the hotel inside and out when she was explaining to us all the amenties and everything about the hotel. When we noticed our room had been missed for cleaning one day and mentioned it to her, everything was taken care of by the time we returned. Irene was the best!!
The room itself was beautiful! spacious and newly renovated. They provide tea and coffee pods, as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, which was really convenient. There’s also a small gym on the mezzanine floor that was actually pretty nice and also convenient. They provide towels, and there’s a water filter on the same floor, so I’d recommend bringing a reusable water bottle.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. All of the staff were friendly and genuinely tried to accommodate our needs (and i'm sure everyone else’s).
Location was the best for the money spent. Staff was very friendly, Francisco was helpful, and Claudia helped to make sure my birthday was memorable.
The location is very good, the shops and places to eat are very close by, and the staff are very friendly.
Irene behind the front desk is the best!! Super friendly and professional. Great location, clean, and would definitely go back again.
We celebrated our anniversary here and had an incredible time. The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We will be back!
Very good hotel—clean, quiet, and with a strong, refreshing shower. The best part is its excellent location, which makes visiting nearby attractions very convenient. I would also like to thank Irene for providing very useful information and helpful tips on how to enjoy this beautiful city.
Our sixth time here, always a perfect place to stay in SF
The blankets could be heavier it was not warm enough without the heater on which isn’t the quietest
Nice and clean. The service from the staff was wonderful.
No complaints.
