Cute little hotel with adequate room, clean, centrally located and good price.
Bathtub/shower is a super high step and if you are not comfortable getting in and out it can be risky. Elevator is there and thank goodness, but it was 1 person plus luggage only.
Location was good, the room was small but well laid out and had a good feel to it, nice decorations.
The plumbing was rubbish, the hand basin plug didn't work and the shower was a nightmare. I was staying at the hotel because I was going for surgery to the Brompton Hospital the following morning at 7am. Because of the surgery I had to use a special body wash supplied by the hospital and shower the night before and first thing in the morning, washing my hair as well as my body.
What was wrong with the shower, practically everything. It was in the bath, and the bath was quite narrow at the shower end which meant there was very little space to stand comfortably. The shower head was fixed to wall, it was tiny, and the flow was pathetic, the only way to get a decent flow was to turn the temperature down, but I didn't want shower in the cold. There was a small glass screen but most of the screening was a shower curtain.
If I have to go to the Brompton again I'll stay in a Premier Inn, the beds are just as comfortable, it's a lot cheaper and the shower works!!
Tout se passe très bien
Accueil,chambre, petit déjeuner
Rien
Overall, the property — which I’ve been staying at for many years — remains a viable option for accommodation in Chelsea. The room, although now showing signs of age, was on the fourth floor with a pleasant view. The staff, though only partially professional, did their job.
The property is run in an impersonal way, even though it originally started as a small hospitality initiative that was more attentive to guests’ needs: those initial intentions have disappeared. There is a clear lack of a proper manager: everything seems to be left to the goodwill of the staff, who only partially know what they are doing.
As proof of the above, it’s enough to say that, despite having returned to the same property at least 10 times over the past years, there has never been any sign of recognition or attention toward this loyal customer. In fact, this year they even forgot to service the room after the first night and, despite my reporting it, they barely reacted at all...
It’s a shame I’ll have to go elsewhere next time, given how particularly convenient the location is for my work commitments!
It was expensive but this is due to the location I expect.
I stayed for an extra night as it was exactly what my grandson and I needed to be near his family and sister in a nearby hospital.
Staff were amazing, welcoming and kind went out of their way to make our extra night possible.
Room was small but extremely comfortable and had everything we needed.
Breakfasts were also delicious and a good range of dishes 😊
Location is fantastic and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
We had to wait 2 hours past checkin time for our room and after a 9 1/2 hr overnight flight, that was really inconvenient. The bathroom wasn’t clean, there was hair behind the door that never got cleaned throughout our stay. We had to ask for tissues. It would also be nice to have some sort of tourist information at the hotel or in the rooms.
Clean comfortable, friendly helpful staff
That couldn't stay longer
Tolle Lage, 5 Minuten zu Bus oder UBahn, nette und ruhige Umgebung.
Zimmer klein aber alles was man braucht, die Betten sind sehr bequem.
Great location, comfortable bed and good shower.
We had to move rooms within hours of our arrival as the loo in our first room did not flush. This was not a problem. We also did not end up having breakfast as we had an appt to have breakfast elsewhere. Sadly the hotel were unable to refund the cost of this, not their fault.
Staff excellent, went out of their way to please.
1st room (10) excellent, smallish. But what do you expect in Chelsea town house.
2nd room(24) needs attention signs of damp. Wall needs repair (plastering).
Breakfast ok, but bacon rashers overcooked, dry..
The location was superb. The marketing of this property really is top notch. Unfortunately it didn’t translate to experience.
The rooms were very basic, barely a 3 star standard, applying the word deluxe or premier deluxe to any of these rooms really is false advertising. Bare minimum toiletries. Basic decoration and absolutely not boutique. The rooms and hotel were all very tired, magnolia paint and nasty blackened grout in the bathrooms. I booked and paid for two rooms, both ‘premier deluxe’ but as they overbooked, my room was downgraded to a deluxe (which was a dire misapplication of this word) - they offered a free breakfast to half of our party of 4 to compensate and refused to reduce the rate of the room as I had booked early and due to demand their rate for the room had increased above what I paid. Receptionist couldn’t have cared less. I assume this is because I used booking.com but from other reviews coupe just be their ‘go to’ approach.
