Disappointing
Pros:

Location and the building was beautiful and in a lovely location. Pretty furnishings.

Cons:

Staff - one member of staff was lovely, but the other was surly and unhelpful. We came down for breakfast and were ignored, even tho we didnt know where to go for breakfast. No introduction to the food and guests tried to interact with her but got nowhere. Terrible customer service. Would not go back in a million years - 180 quid a night to be treated like that !

Charming hotel with a great location
Pros:

The Hope Anchor is a very historic hotel located in the highest part of the wonderful town of Rye. Having a parking space available was a huge plus! The property itself is nice and full of antique charm. We also really appreciated that they ask you to select your breakfast menu the night before—as a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see great veg options. Also, the breakfast staff in the morning were very friendly! Overall, the town is stunning and the hotel is definitely recommended for a one-night stay!

Cons:

We arrived around 9:15 PM, which was still within the allowed check-in window. However, the lady at the reception wasn't very welcoming and seemed almost annoyed to speak with us, which wasn't a very nice way to start our stay.

Lugar agradável com ótima localização.
Pros:

Localização, cama confortável, apesar do banheiro do quarto que me hospedei ser muito ruim CVV com o teto muito baixo.
Café da manhã muito gostoso.

Cons:

So tem chuveiro na banheira , daqueles que vc tem que segurar com a mão, muito ruim.

Vackert läge, men dålig upplevelse pga återkommande brandlarm nattetid och problem med duvor

Fint läge och trevlig personal. Bra happy hour.

Cons:

Två av våra tre nätter på Hope Anchor gick brandlarmet mitt i natten och vi fick utrymma hotellet bägge gånger. Det berodde på något tekniskt fel och de hade problem att få dit tekniker. Det förstörde sömnen och påverkade vår vistelse väldigt negativt. Vi erbjöds ingen kompensation för detta.
Det var fantastiskt vackert väder och varmt när vi bodde på hotellet. Eftersom de hade problem med duvor fick vi inte öppna fönstren, vilket gjorde att det var väldigt varmt och kvavt.

Pros:

Die Lage oberhalb des Ortes mit Blick auf den Stadthafen ist sehr schön. Das Frühstück war super,, ebenso das Abendessen im St. George. Vom Anchor aus sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Altstadt leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Cons:

Am Hotel sind keine Parkplätze vorhanden, sodass das Auto am Hafen geparkt werden muss. Die Heizung funktionierte nicht, die Fenster schlossen nicht dicht, sodass es bei dem starken Wind im Zimmer kühl war.
