I had a bed to sleep in.
The room I was assigned to wasn't in the Melrose Mansion as described. I wouldn't have stayed here if I knew its 2 buildings over. False advertisement. No apology. No discount. Scammed. Book with caution.
Great location on the edge of the French Quarter and the Marigny, quiet yet close to everything. Very good full breakfast, exercise room, lovely pool area. Wonderful staff (thank you Emily, Michael and housekeeping).
Old, charming buildings but some safety updates would have improved our stay. The bathtub in our room required a step stool and agility to get to its shower, and grab bars are needed. Some updates are needed.
I love the French style decor, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing every day
I think if it was a little more affordable I would stay more longer
Excellent location
The main house is beautiful and the pool looked nice but was too cold to enjoy.
Our room was in a back house, and there were several significant issues that affected our stay.
First, the bed was surprisingly small for such a large room and creaked loudly with even minor movement, making it difficult to sleep comfortably.
Second, there is a sheer curtain over the window above the door that faces the porch light. The light shines directly into the room and onto your face while trying to sleep. An eye mask is basically required.
Lastly, the noise level was a major problem. People regularly sat on the stoop talking on their phones, and there is no real noise barrier. Every conversation could be heard clearly inside the room. We had to buy ear plugs.
Overall, these issues made it hard to rest and enjoy the stay.

Beautiful old mansion, excellent service, great location, I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing I would change.
Splendide Maison d'hôte au coeur du French Quarter
Tout était parfait
Charming building with beautiful architecture. Our room had lovely high ceilings and large windows to fill the room with light. Location an easy walk to Frenchman, Bourbon and other old quarter sights.
Quiet
Great attentive staff
Good location
Large room
The tub was very high so as a short person it made it a bit difficult to get in and out of the shower
Would recommend safety bars in the shower
Accueil /disponibilite/ style colonial
