Me encantó estar en un lugar mas privado. Me encantaron las casitas. La comida esta muy buena!!!
Todo excelente! Solo al final los lancheros trataron de cobrarnos y el transporte ya está incluido para entrada y salida. Fue un poco incómodo.
Everything. Especially the food. Outstanding cuisine.
We liked everything.
Amazing beach, unique bungalows, top of the line cuisine and very helpful and friendly staff. Gotta set ur expectations to proper level, you’re in the jungle on the beach and cabins have no doors or windows but surprisingly we didn’t see any insects or got bit by mosquitoes, no repellent used.
Few minor things like sink faucet is improper size
The food at Casa Maraikas was excellent. Also all staff we encountered were friendly and attentive.
Nothing comes to mind. Only stayed one night so didn't find anything to complain about.
This place is one of the most awesome experiences. The staff, food, beach, and accommodations are worth every peso. It is something to behold.
I loved it all.
Food
A complete disorder no one knew our room name when we got there! It was confusing dealing with the night watching
La comida deliciosa, las bebidas, la mixología. El Plato de fruta fenomenal. El concepto de el lugar, la playa..... todo¡¡¡
Moscos jajajjajaj, pero no se pueden evitar.
Stayed here in February 2025 with a group of 12, 30-year old women (bachelorette party) and we were all completely blown away. It is a paradise. The accommodations are rustic and very open air, but that didn’t bother us (may bother some people). The best part is how incredible the restaurant is. The staff were also so amazing. I’ve been slow to write a review because I want to keep this place my own secret, but it deserves the recognition!
It was a very pretty location and a very charming setup and buildings, with the restaurant overlooking the ocean.
The beach right at the property was not at all relaxing. It’s a constant flow of water taxi drop off/pickups. And many people using the beach aren’t staying there. I felt as a guest I couldn’t enjoy myself. There is a DJ with loud music constantly playing. It’s not the peaceful retreat as advertised. Constant music, constant people coming and going on the small beach.
No breakfast, and the only positive experience about this hotel is the friendly staff.
The property is not maintained, The cleanliness is horrible, the chairs and the coffee pot are dirty, unfortunately, no hot water in the beginning when we checked in, the flying bed is a disaster, there is day club next to this hotel with extremely loud music all day long. The stairs are so small and steep, I ended up sprained my foot and broke my fifth metatarsal bone and stayed in bed for almost two months!!! Basically we spent $440 for one horrible night!
The best! I come every year!
Incredible location and design. The restaurant was excellent. We loved the Luciernaga house, very private and special. Worth the money.
The Luciernaga house could use a few minor upgrades (lighting, shower).
Hideaway place with only few cottages nestled on isolated beach reachable only by boat, coupled with 5 star restaurant on site.
It’s more like fancy glamping than hotel stay but absolutely lovely stay regardless
Beautiful location
The flying bed
The food and location
That the price per night does not include even a breakfast.....
.and that you have all the prople going to the beach club next door,
come get dropped off right on the beach at Maraikas
A little piece of heaven, very unique experience and property
I wish the casita had doors, lots of crabs and iguanas
The location is beautiful
I recently stayed at this hotel located in a truly picturesque setting, accessible only by boat. However, this was unfortunately where the positives ended.
The service at the hotel was abysmal. From check-in to check-out, the staff while friendly they are not trained in the hospitality industry. Basic requests took an inordinate amount of time to be addressed, and there was a general sense of disorganization and lack of care.
The installations were in a state of disrepair. It was clear that the property had not been maintained for quite some time, with many amenities either broken or unavailable. The condition of the rooms and common areas left much to be desired, detracting significantly from the overall experience. The first room we were assigned, which has no windows is right next to the kitchen chimney, which spews large quantities of smoke into the room, making impossible to stay there.
The are no lounge chairs on the beach, and the beach’s chairs and umbrellas that exist were not set up until late morning.
The most frustrating part of the stay was the departure. I had arranged a boat transfer to get to the airport, which is an hour away, but the hotel's boat was almost an hour late. This significant delay caused us considerable stress and we came perilously close to missing our flight.
While the location of the hotel is undoubtedly beautiful, the poor service, run-down facilities, and unreliable transportation options make it difficult to recommend this hotel. I hope management takes serious steps to address these issues, as the potential for a wonderful experience is there, but in its current state, it falls far short.
This place is simply paradise. Gorgeous nature, amazing food, very chic with full integration into nature. The design of the rooms makes you connected to nature 24/7, we even saw whales from our room. The food is delicious, the menu is very creative and very diverse catering for all tastes/needs. Most important the vibe is so special, the owner Maik and his team really make you feel at home. I have travelled the world and been to very special places, this one is next level. I had the most amazing experience there and cannot recommend it enough!
Everything! Magical location, very friendly staff, phenomenal food and drinks, very comfortable overall felt at home. The room was very spacious and comfortable in open air with amazing view
