The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help with anything you needed.
Pros:

We really liked the location. Very close to some fun restaurant, CVS and the Metro. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Jazz the manager was really great to deal with. The struggles we had were nothing compared to to the comfort and attentiveness of this hotel.

Cons:

The airco didn’t work and after it was “fixed” it still wasn’t super cool in the room. We had a power outage that forced us to leave the hotel because the room was unbearably hot. We returned by noon time and there still wasn’t electricity to we went downtown. We came back at night and the power was back but the airco did not work. The rooftop pool was very small and hard to get out of. The last step was way too large.

It was good.
Pros:

I did like the location. It was close to the metro. All the staff were very nice and courteous

Cons:

I didn't like that the roof top pool was unavailable to children after 5 pm. It is a location where people are out touring all day and come back for a relaxing dip into the pool with their children before or after dinner. I asked if another pool was available and there wasn't. It was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel

It was convenient but it was way too overpriced for how the service was and I was overcharged which had to get refunded
Pros:

The way the lobby looked

Cons:

The bed sheets and pillows were dirty the staff was rude and acted like I wasn’t supposed to be there I think it was racially motivated .

If you not staying at The Ven then where would you go??
Pros:

The art Gallery was a beautiful lil treat, bed was so comfortable we sleep through 2 nights of plans and weren’t mad at all, 12 PM checkout time is a blessing and a lifesaver I hope y’all never change it, Eli at the front was mad welcoming and transparent about parking: explained the price for valet and also let me know that there is often street parking which saved me $210 in parking for the UHaul van we used to get down here. Complimentary coffee was a great way to start my day, the ambiance in the hotel was exactly what we needed for an anniversary trip. Next time we’re in DC we know where to go

Pros:

Cons:

The room price does not include the meal, or parking, you have to pay for parking and whatever meal you had.

Good location. Old customer. New problems
Pros:

Location is grest. That is the best. Next to Metro Lobby, places to chat,, decorations are nice. We really apprevlciated to be able to check in early in the very cold weather, after a long trip. Price is quite good.

Cons:

In our room we hsd no driers for clothes. Closet tiny. Room is dark, no lights at the foyer at the mirror, vefu fark. so.it was very difficult to get ready for a big fancy gala. One sink with no counter for any personal hygenic kits and cosmetics, brushes etc. One tiny soap for 2 people. No glasses for brushing teeth etc. Curtains were totally torn and fitlhy
Cleaning crew came in even if ee did not ask for it. Changed towels but did not bring new coffee tea and condiments. We asked for water in the evening after 2 days not getting them, mobody wascst the frint desk, we had to remind and call again after 40.min.

Family Wedding Weekend
Pros:

The hotel is lovely. The employees at the Ven made the trip absolutely wonderful. Helen, Cookie, Kamil, Negash and Faceel are some of the best. How a hotel has such a warm, welcoming and above average staff is remarkable. I didn't meet any of the housekeeping staff but, our room was always fresh and clean.
We enjoyed the roof top pool (it was a summery September weekend) and the bar/restaurant area. The hotel is up the street from Dupont Circle. Restaurants, cafes and museums all within a short walking distance. We thank the staff at the Ven for making our trip so memorable.
