Situation impeccable, au calme, plage qui est rare sur Madère et grande piscine,

mais le niveau 5 étoiles il y a mieux ayant vu d'autres 5 étoiles, dommage.

Produtos de limpeza/ banho : shampoo em vez de sabonete líquido nos lavatórios; amaciador e creme corporal apenas em frascos pequenos e sem dispensador . Ausência de sal natural grosso (pequeno almoço)

It was ok but would expect more from a 5* hotel
Pros:

Good location. Friendly staff.

Cons:

For a 5* hotel in this price range, I’d expect way better quality and service. Even though most staff was friendly the service was poor ie empty plats were not removed during breakfast, dirty tables when entering. Not a single vegan option (milk or yoghurt).
The elevator situation is a nightmare. Not sure how the hotel handles when they are fully booked.

Lokalizacja. Dobre śniadania. Super pomysł z ciastem na powitanie i Welcome drink i małym winem na pożegnanie - miło :)

Cons:

Stary hotel, mało wind i średnio działające. Dość brudny i zimny mocno chlorowany basen wewnętrzny. Płatny parking codziennie ok 14-18 euro to spory wydatek

Staff all first class,very helpful receptionist lady and restaurant team v good, omelette chef outstanding

Cons:

As we were leaving the property around 10am on Sunday, we got out of the hotel with two large suitcases. A taxi rank stands about 30 metres uphill from the hotel. A white minibus was parked right across the access area which prevented taxi access. I asked a young bearded man who confirmed he was driving it if he could move it so a taxi could come to collect us. I am over 70 and my wife over 80.
The young man subjected me to a volley of verbal abuse, shouting you are nothing,this is my island,you are stupid and moved to shout in my face which was intimidating and most unpleasant. I have never seen anyone behave like that anywhere,and in Madeira it was extraordinary. The Pestana was not responsible as he was clearly collecting guests,but it should be possible to find who he was. He needs medical help for anger management,and his employer should think long and hard.

Amazing sea view, charming hotel
Pros:

Superior room was definitely worth the money, amazing view over the ocean, modern equipment, good air conditioning. Very clean including pool area. Great staff. Pleasant variety and fresh fruits for breakfast to choose from, decent terrace. Lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Would be pleased to return to this hotel.

Location was perfect. Breakfast was stunning especially with the views. Pools and gardens kept exceptional clean.
