Weekend away in February
Pros:

Hotel in a nice part of town, nice views. Bar/reception staff very helpful

Cons:

Hotel quite shabby, we had a balcony but it was very unkempt. Chairs looked like they would fall.apart. main curtains were torn. Felt it should have been better for what I paid.

Excellent and well worth the money.
Pros:

Our room was amazing and was not expecting what we had for the money we paid. Great price, location and very friendly staff. We loved the happy hour between 6-7pm which fitted in well with our evening meal time.

It was nice but we wouldn’t stay there again
Pros:

The hotel had a nice vibe and location was perfect to wander the high street and be in walking distance to pubs and restaurants and there’s parking on site. The staff were lovely and welcoming

Cons:

We were in room 11 and for the duration of our stay there was a dreadfully annoying banging of a window or door, we weren’t sure what it was. We told staff and they investigated but couldn’t find the issue so we had to deal with in from check in to check out. We slept with a fan on to drown it out. Also the top of the shower was absolutely covered in black mould which made us uncomfortable and the bathroom is barely big enough to stand in. Also the door to the room didn’t even open properly because the bed was in the way so I feel like the room could have been laid out differently. Also some of the buttons on the tv weren’t working so we had to use the buttons on the tv. The room had character but was in desperate need of a makeover or at least a new lick of paint and some tlc to make it more enjoyable. The banging was the main problem though as even with the tv on it was distracting
