Exotic location.
Upon arrival, they told us that the paid apartment was not available. They offered a 20% discount, which we have not received yet. The toilet in both apartments was clogged, wifi only at the reception and in the dining room, where it also stopped working. No connection in the room. The electricity went out several times the next evening. The area looks like it was after a natural disaster. Only one of the two pools is working. The photos on Booking.com are very misleading. The Staff was helpful and nice.
Nice jungle around, close to Chichen Itza
The hotel has seen its best times a long time ago. Difficult to reach from the main road through an awful gravel road of 1,5 kms that can break your car. The rooms can be cold and blankets in short supply. But if you enjoy creating an aquarium into your bathroom with dookies swimming around in the sink you have reached your paradise (i.e., toilet does not flush at all properly)
Personal war bemüht.
Zufahrtsweg sehr schlecht.
Save for the kindness of the few staff and the restaurant with basic but decent food, there is nothing enjoyable in the hotel.
The photos advertised on Booking give the impression that we were in another place. The hotel is totally run down, almost abandoned. We were the only guests there. The large pool was empty. The spa was closed. It is inconceivable to rate it 5 stars!!! The wooden structures , and there are many, are rotten for most parts. The room was gloomy and very dusty. The shower head burst, the water did not flow in the shower pan, the toilet smelled urine, the door got stuck when trying to lock it, the fire extinguishers are rusty, empty and checked in 2015…etc. If is security hazard to stay in this hotel
Employees are very kind.
It seems close to Chichen itza but the hotel is located way deep in the woods with a terribly unpaved road which makes it even worse to get there. Once you get there, the reception, you have to walk even further to get to your room on an unpaved track, so all your luggage needs to be carried by hand to your room. THERE'S NO TV, Internet, vending machine or iron in the rooms. No ride share service. There was no hot water either. The facilities looked abandoned and the room could use some paint as it was full of stains.
Whoever the owner is, you don't appreciate the potential you have there to let such a great complex fall apart.
Le long chemin de terre jusque l'hotel
