Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

I stayed in room 19 and the mattress was lumpy and you can feel the springs. Needs a new mattress

Fantastic little retreat
Pros:

Staff were friendly, accommodating and very polite. The room was well kept and very picturesque scenery.

Facilities were very well kept and clean. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Cold and overpriced in a fantastic old house on a golf course with great countryside.

Cons:

No heating Xmas eve and most of Xmas day,using convection heaters that barely did anything. We had a very overpriced Xmas dinner and it was not to a lot of people’s liking including us. Most people had their coats on all through the meal. They offered no compensation although we did complain to reception.

Pleasant stay
Pros:

The lady on reception was so welcoming. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The evening meal was superb, cant fault it.

Cons:

Rooms are dated and I didnt have a desk to work. The gym doesnt open until 7 and neither does breakfast not good if your working away and have to be on the road. That been said for a getaway it would be lovely

Good value, beautiful location
Pros:

Beautiful location, well maintained, staff very friendly and helpful. Food brilliant, huge breakfast and we really enjoyed the meals in the bar and restaurant. Lovely pool with 2 jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Great for a relaxing break.

No info pack in room, no water in room, no extra pillows, no coat hooks, no mini fridge, small TV for such a large room, very small and limited bathroom toiletries.

Disappointed due to barking dog

Cons:

Our room was next to a quest who had a dog and every time the dog was left in the room on its own it barked non stop
Most mornings and evening for over an hour
Not the relaxing break we wanted or expected from such a lovely hotel

Very enjoyable lovely setting, very friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

Not overly impressed with the breakfast to be fair. I have had better

Cons:

There was no WiFi in the rooms, no shampoo or conditioner in en-suite which is a first. The kettle didn’t turn itself off. These are very little picky things but just would have been good to have.
