Os funcionários do hotel foram muito atenciosos. Forneceram box lunch pro nosso café da manhã, pois tivemos que sair antes do horário do café pra fazer passeio.

Cons:

O quarto estava com cheiro de tinta. O buffet de café da manhã era muito fraco com poucas opções. Comemos no restaurante do hotel, pedimos o menu executivo e foi bem ruinzinho. A noite pedimos o que estava no cardápio estava muito gostoso, nem parecia ter vindo do mesmo lugar do almoço. No dia seguinte quando precisamos do restaurante às 22h falaram que o serviço já tinha encerrado mas que tinha o cardápio do room service e que seria até às 4h da manhã. Mas quando fomos fazer o pedido falaram que só tinha lanche e pizza, uma pena porque os tacos do dia anterior estavam deliciosos e a gente queria repetir.

A good international hotel in Cancun downtown
Pros:

Wyndham Garden Cancun Downtown is located along Av. Tulum (route 307), a major thoroughfare in Cancun downtown. It is not in the downtown core, though there is a 7-11 and a few sit-down eateries within walking distance. You can easily reach other places via Didi/Uber.
We got a king room at Wyndham Garden. The room is of decent size, with a king bed, a sofa, a writing desk, a clean bathroom with shower of good water pressure. The room has a balcony overlooking the city. The hotel also has an exercise room in the 1st floor with a treadmill, a stationary bike, a weight lifting machine and a water machine. There is a rooftop balcony that you can walk around that is overseeing the city.
The hotel provides daily breakfast buffet (included in our booking), which includes a good international/Mexico selection, such as fried zucchini, eggs, tortilla chips, ham, cheese, hard boiled eggs, cut fruit (honey dews, honey melons, water melons, bananas), coffee, fruit juice. The breakfast is of basic quality. The restaurant also has an evening buffet at 220 pesos per person.
Overall, this is a fair quality budget hotel to be used as a base to explore the surrounding area of Cancun.
