Nice breakfast
Brilliant location! Staff were very friendly, room comfortable and breakfast outstanding, great value for money

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, looked after us breakfast was exceptional 👌
Great location for the great orme. The only minus for us was it was at the top of a hill then 2 flights of stairs to our room.
The hill
Location is excellent.Lady who cleaned ,did reception and served breakfast very friendly. All the bits you need for a short stay provided.
The walk up the hill takes some getting used to but it was worth it when the weather is good.
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely old building with a wonderful view of Llandudno Bay.
Very comfortable bed.
A very small bathroom with an even smaller shower cubicle (without anywhere to put toiletries).
The view from the window
Food- Was awful. My husband had a bad stomach from the breakfast and the second day we didnt even go down for breakfast. We came home early.
Hospitality- Very poor. We left hanging sign on door for clean towels, coffee and milk. Returned to room nothing had been done. Staff were not helpful, had to ask numerous of times for things and he said he didnt understand. We asked for recommendations for evening food and deliveries he couldn't give me any. There was no leaflets around in the hotel for this.
Cleanliness was appalling. Never have i ever stayed somewhere and it been like this, even the smells.
Prices- when booked it's was £220.00 when we arrived at the hotel they charged another £10.00 then said we had to get intouch with booking.com to ask why.
From start to finish it was a disaster and spent more outside the hotel, We didnt feel relaxed, we did most things ourselves there like asking to go outside and we set our own furniture up as there was no where to sit, we bought coffee and milk because none was put into the room, and 2 fresh clean towels. We have taken pictures for proof.
We will not let this go nor will we be returning.
Very good breakfast. Full English and piping hot.
The decor or the hotel was amazing. Breakfast was good. With varied choice. Great views.
TV didn't work. Room was way too small . Should be reflected in price. Windows to view promenade at breakfast need a good clean. Cars parked very close to entrance steps.
Location was good
Breakfast is a little early
The location is great. Short walk to the main part of the town, and great views from the top where the hotel is. Also a great ice cream bar a very short walk further on the hill from the hotel. The room was nicely decorated in a Victorian style, but the bathroom was still modern. If you’re expecting a modern hotel this is not what you are looking for.
The room was spotless, and the bed was moderately comfy, about what you’d expect for a 3 star hotel.
When we arrived, we were met with unprofessionalism. We arrived early but wanted to pay on arrival and then go about our day before later checking in. We rang the bell, as it says to do, and were met with a member of staff shouting from upstairs, who was very blunt and told us we were too early and that the rooms were not ready (which we were already aware of, but we simply wanted to pay). However, one of the members of the housekeeping team (a different staff member) were very polite and pleasant.
Some of the reviews state that the breakfast is outstanding. I’m unsure if those people have ever had a cooked breakfast before. The sausage is a chip shop sausage and inedible, it does not belong on a cooked breakfast, or anywhere for that matter. It was disgusting. The egg was clearly a caged egg, the tomato was rank, the mushrooms were poor, the beans were pretty tasteless and there was no black pudding. However, the fried bread was decent, bacon was nice and the hash brown was alright. The continental breakfast was not very wide in selection, but what was there was nice. So the breakfast is very fixable, but nonetheless a shame.
The £15 dog charge per stay would be understandable, except the dog is not allowed in all areas of the hotel anyway, so you pay to be excluded from parts of the hotel, meaning you eat your breakfast in a separate, colder area. As our dog doesn’t shed, it’s also slightly annoying, as the dog is not creating any greater a mess and the rooms are being cleaned nonetheless.
Parking situation isn’t great, but there is not really anything the hotel can do about that. Perhaps a parking allocation system on a first come first serve basis would be better to avoid guests being blocked in.
Overall, the hotel has good potential, but for £280 for 2 nights for 2 people and a dog in a basic twin room, it did not feel good value for money at all. I have stayed at 4/5 star hotels on the mainland for much less, so it definitely felt like a rip off.
Lovely view looking over the pier
The weather and location was great
Comfy beds and great breakfast
Great hotel in the perfect location. Staff were all polite. Breakfast was very tasty and plenty available.
Nothing.
A great old Hotel. Room furnishings are a little tired. The staff are lovely and they are loyal as we have seen the same staff over a period of years.
Sometimes parking can be difficult it is high up on the Orme and a dead end.
This is a favourite hotel for us, clean , afordable, great views at breakfast
Incredible location looking across the bay.
Very comfortable rooms.
It's not a dislike, as everything was spotlessly clean, but the bathroom was quite dated. It's tricky to get a modern bathroom into such a beautiful old building, but that's the only reason I took one point off.
Friendly staff and great breakfast!
Room was lovely with an amazing view!
