First night being put up in another "hotel" five minutes walk away in a room that did not even have towels. A foul smell from the bathroom. Many things in the room were falling apart.

Cons:

Cockroaches and bed bugs. Honestly I have no idea how they have the rating they do. The room is tiny even for a solo traveler, the door frame is falling off, the toilet smells foul, the mini fridge isn't plugged in. Honestly this whole place is a giant scam and shouldn't even be on booking.

J’avais effectué cette réservation environ trois mois à l’avance et j’avais choisi et payé pour séjourner dans l’établissement indiqué sur ma réservation.

À mon arrivée à la réception, on m’a informé qu’il n’y avait finalement plus de place dans le bâtiment que j’avais réservé. Sans m’avoir prévenu à l’avance et sans m’avoir demandé mon accord, le personnel m’a envoyé dans un autre bâtiment situé en face.

Le logement qui m’a été donné ne correspondait donc pas à celui que j’avais réservé. De plus, la chambre était très sale et la salle de bain était également dans un état d’hygiène très insatisfaisant.

It would have been perfect if not for those bug bites.
Pros:

The location was in the middle of old Constatinople, close to main sites like Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia.

Cons:

Some bugs bit me in about 30 places on my legs. They didn't itch. Even an ER could not identify what they were.

Exceklent Location
Pros:

The location was perfect for a trip to istanbul & the employees were very very friendly. They upgraded us to 2 x 3 person rooms instead of 2 smaller rooms for 4 people because they said it would be too small of a space for us. The 3 person rooms across the street were very clean. The location is fantastic; a nice walking to any major touristic attractions and right next to the train. It's also surrounded by so many restaurants, cafés, shops & great nightlife. It can be loud at night. You are right next to a mosque so the call to prayer is quite loud but as someone from the US, I thought it was neat!

Cons:

The room on the 4th floor was pretty great! Clean and comfortable & everything worked as expected!

The AC in the 3rd floor room didnt work at all which was really difficult in August in Istanbul after we booked because it said there was AC. It's not that we expect even remotely close to US AC standards but even a fan would have helped; it did not work. The last night the door also got stuck & stopped working so it couldnt be opened from the outside - only the inside. Im glad it was our last night & the staff was really upset over it & i appreciate their efforts. You can tell that this had happened to the door before though because it looked damaged on the wall between the door. They definitely need to exchange the door for a new one.
