The room was generously sized! Not crowded nice hardwood floors, very comfortable homey setting, and the price was great! Definitely will be staying there next time we go on vacay

Colonial
Pros:

This is the best place to stay in Ellsworth. Rooms are clean and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Pool is great for the kids. And best of all it’s the least expensive. Will continue in the future to always stay at the INN.

Fantastic staff, spacious rooms, dog friendly!
Pros:

We were in town for a youth basketball tournament. Three of our youth teams and their families all stayed at the Colonial Inn. The staff were very nice and extremely accommodating to the fact that we had 30+ kids in our group and probably 50+ adults and siblings. The rooms were spacious and recently updated. It wasn't the cleanest hotel I've ever been to but I cannot imagine another hotel being as accommodating and understanding as they were and that was worth way more to us than anything else. We also brought our dog and the staff never once made us feel like our dog was a nuisance. The dog actually figured out that he needed to stop by the front desk every time we went for a walk because they gave him treats! This will be a weekend our kids will never forget and it would not have been the same if we stayed anywhere else.
