Disappointing
Pros:

Location was good for us, breakfast staff were fine.

Cons:

Were made to wait too long at check-in, as staff too busy serving at the bar, even after acknowledging us. Room had no sound proofing, couldn't sleep with noise from below in bar. even at 3 am. Floor was unbelievably noisy every time went around the bed to the bathroom. Breakfast staff took away self service items almost as soon as we sat down, while in the allocated breakfast time. Each day the orange juice dispenser was empty!
Electric socket in room was coming away from the wall. Parking was difficult near the hotel.

Good enjoyable stay, double aspect window, big large superior room, staff lovely
Pros:

Central location, lovely staff

Cons:

Gluten free limited, bathroom shower over bath difficult to manoeuvre as glass partition close to toilet, so couldn’t pull glass screen out to get shower on. No grip to get into bsth( an accident waiting to happen, tea/coffees not filled up in room, had to ask a few times, staff happy to oblige though

Solo visit..Greyfrairs ticked all the boxes.
Pros:

Excellent location and base to explore the town.
Staff all very friendly & welcoming.
Food good.

Cons:

Though anticipated, my front facing room was quite noisy with passers by heading home late at night/early morning.

Pros:

Massive room, comfy bed, fairly quiet.
Central location which was perfect.
Staff were lovely. Had our evening meal on the premises. Good wholesome food and not over priced. Brogan who served us was lovely, attentive but not ‘in your face’
Would stay again

Cons:

Bathroom was a little tired but the toilet flushed and the shower showered.
Could do with just a little TLC
There was only one cup and the tea/coffee hadn’t been replenished but we didn’t need it so it wasn’t an issue for us

A short stay with a good night's sleep and excellent breakfast.
Pros:

Greyfriars Inn is centrally located and is ideal for visiting and attending events in St Andrews.
The room overlooked the street but was reasonably quiet and was warm and comfortable.
An excellent buffet breakfast was included in the price. I was well-satisfied with my stay and would recommend to other visitors.

All positive.

Pros:

Centrally located. Easy walking distance to everything. Large bedroom. Cute pub underneath. Good breakfast

Cons:

Parking could be an issue. Room was quite dark and dated. Water pressure was all over the place.
