A truly unique place to stay and soak up Japanese culture and history with everything you need.
Pros:

This is a a unique stay with a concept of encouraging people to spend some time in the town by offering discounts at local shops, cafes and restaurants. The Inn is old and fascinating with features that show off its history and its part in the community. The room was large, light and felt special with a traditional Japanese features, garden view and veranda.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and always with a smile! We want to comeback and spend more time here!

日常をほどき、町の暮らしに寄り添う滞在
Pros:

今回はじめて一人で宿泊しましたが、本当に素晴らしいお宿でした。
久しぶりに心も身体もゆったりと解きほぐれ、大満足の滞在となりました。

お話を伺うと、全室あえてテレビや時計を設置せず、穏やかに過ごせるよう空間を整えているとのこと。
さすがだと感じました。代わりに耳に届くのは、鳥のさえずりや水の流れる音。
そして、古民家ならではのどこか懐かしく落ち着く空気感。美しく手入れされた中庭も、とても印象的でした。

商店街のカフェを訪れて店主の方と語らったり、ゆっくりと本を読んだり。
訪れるお店ごとに出会う地域の方々がとてもフレンドリーだったことも、心に残っています。
宿泊者限定でいただける商店街で使える「KOSA PASS」も、自然と会話が生まれるきっかけになっているようでした。

何もしない時間、地域に溶け込むような時間を味わいながら、穏やかなひとときを過ごすことができました。

またぜひ訪れたいと思える宿で、すっかり大ファンになりました。
スタッフの皆さまの丁寧な接客と心のこもったおもてなしに、心より感謝いたします。

Mooi pand, maar véél te gehorig.
Pros:

De geschiedenis van het 100 jaar oude gebouw, voormalige sigarenwinkel.
Prachtige designstoel in de slaapkamer.
Grootte van de ruimte.

Cons:

Het oude pand is slecht geïsoleerd, het lijkt alsof het verkeer door je slaapkamer rijdt.
Ook de ochtendwip (07.00 uur) van de buren was een 'bijzondere' ervaring.

Superbe lieu, situe le long de la rivière, les Koi y nagent tranquillement.. Magnifiquement décoré. Une merveilleuse odeur d'hinoki puisque le lieu a été construit avec du bois d'hinoki. Très belle salle de bain. Très bien placé. Notre hôte parlait parfaitement anglais et a été extrêmement chaleureux. Un très beau séjour de 2 nuits. Je recommande fortement.
Les photos sans en dessous de la réalité de l'endroit! C'est superbe!

I love every single details & Super nice owner 😊

I absolutely love everything about this place! Every little detail is so well thought out, and the design is neat and beautiful.

The garden is so lovely, making the house feel peaceful and refreshing.

Owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, super polite, kind, and always greeting us with a friendly smile.

the room was beautiful, so was the garden outside. great place to relax and chill

the room was very nice and comfortable. service at the front desk was superb. he helped with car and restaurant bookings.

Cons:

we could only purchase bread from the small range of offerings for breakfast.
the location is a little hard to find. the local taxi driver could not find it (wonder why they still do not use google map) i have to help with navigation.
the stairs to the second floor was steep.

Shiboa gave us excellent recommendations for dining and day trips.

Cons:

Nothing, but it would be nice to get breakfast on Sunday morning. Shibao made a good recommendation for our Japanese breakfast on Sunday, which helped a lot.

The staff are nice, and you cant believe that the modern facilities can apply to the traditional architecture.

This hotel is using the existing old traditional materials in the room which is so impressive.
