Hostel Flims

Our room was on the fourth floor and was really an attic. I hit my head many times. There was no aircon and the room was too warm despite the open window. The bed was huge and comfortable. The heavy doona was unnecessary. The shower was small but effective water flow was impressive but room was minimal.

Breakfast was good. The Ham was excellent. Coffee was average but fruit juice was exceptional.

The lift was very small with a maximum capacity of 6 (very good friends).

I would like to share what an amazing experience that the manage of the hillsite gave us during our stay. Due to the VERY poor unprofessional people at booking.com - who over booked our accommodation and then cancelled our whole week stay without telling us whilst we were on the phone to them, the then Hillsite management could not do enough for us to ensure my family had a nice roof over our heads and that we enjoyed our holiday as much as possible. Please book directly with these guys and you will have the best experience as you ski straight from the slope into your room :-) Thanks again to the Hillsite management for your gracious hospitality.

To Booking.com, unfortunately you were VERY poor and VERY unprofessional and could not care if we had no where to stay during the peak season. think twice before using booking.com again.

I am visiting next week the hotel for the second time, unfortunately once again we have unexpected injuries, ski season you know… for the second time the hotel is being considerate and this nice service is above its amazing location just next to the lift.
We look forward for amazing ski and enjoying the hotel once again

What an amazing surprise! Hillsite Hotel Flims exceeded all of our expectations by a mile.

To start with, the entire experience is contactless, making both check-in, check-out, room access, garage access super smooth. You get all the necessary codes upfront and can just focus on getting settled as relaxed as possible.
No queues at reception, no unclear instructions on how to access or do what. Everything is simple and clearly explained.

In addition, the room we were in was considerably more spacious than what we are used to in "mountain hotels". The two of us, together with our dog settled in for the long weekend very comfortably, with ski equipment going into a warmed room.

Apropos skiing: in case you haven't noticed, the hotel is approximately 3 minutes away from the main ski lift of Flims. So, frankly you need to just wake up at a reasonable time to be one of the first on the slopes (managable even with an apres ski hangover :) ).

If we would like to highlight something, the cleaning ladies we bumped into during our stay were not initially the friendliest, but let's be honest, it wasn't so bad to change our score and statement that this hotel was one of the top 3 best experiences we've had so far when it comes to places to stay at for skiing in Switzerland.

The price for what you get is extremely fair compared to other hotels in the region. Also it is located immediately next to the lift in the center of Flims. We were surprised as there is no staff employed in the office and you just receive a code for the garage and the room. But that was a very smooth and fast experience as the cumbersome checkin procedure could have simply dropped.

The hotel is conveniently placed in the center of the flims village, close to restaurants, coop and the main lift for the ski/hiking resort. We were welcomed by Werner that was extremely friendly in telling us how should we plan the activities during our stay.
Rooms are quite big, clean and confortable. Really high value for a very honest price.
The only drawback is that the structure does not offer breakfast. Anyway, there is a coop 50m away, so at end is not such a big deal

Great locatiin, straight on slopes, ski rental in the building. Clean and all. But gym was really rusty, breakfasts just simply and plainly bad, and restaurant closed for the duration of my stay. No kitchenette in the room, nor accessible kitchen for guests. Overall, I sincerely recommend, but do not keep your hopes high. Oh, and price on booking.com was 3 (!) times lower than on their site :)

Only 50 meters from the main lift to enter the Flims ski resort. So location is superb. From the outside it looks quit nice but once you get in, you find out that it is all old fashioned. The hotel could be super with some renovation work.

Positives: good location, in terms of 5 minutes walk to the ski lift, as well as to the supermarket or a couple of restaurants.
Good size of the room.
Saunas available, with few other people there.
Friendly staff.
Negatives: location has pros and cons - the cons are it is a loud one, the bars are both at the ground floor and across the street.
It is hot in the room overnight even with heating off, but you cannot open the windows due to noise.
Little selection of food for breakfast, as for the 4-star hotel.
Parking is available only as a paid underground one - no free parking (which I am used to at the hotels in Alps)

We made a last-minute decision to stay in Flims, and this hotel had the best deal. Our room was lovely for the 4 of us, great bathroom, beds, and view. The management is new since June, and the hosts are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast (not included our room price) is a traditional Swiss buffet and very generous. We will be back!

The hotel is located very close to the Skilifts. Very friendly receptionist. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathroom is very nice. Parking is expensive. Breakfast is very rich with fresh bread. Rooms are quite in particular those which have a view on the garden.

Very convenient location. Restaurants, shops,..everything close. Quite and spacious room with a nice view to the mountains. Quick and easy check in, very friendly and professional staff. Stayed there only for one night so can't judge other facilities that they are offering.

we stayed in this hotel for five nights in a superior room. this is our second time at this hotel and it has improved since last year not that it was not good last time. the location is best: few meters from the cable car; nest to the supermarket; center of town; next door to ski rental place. in short, everything a skier needs is right there. the rooms are big and very comfortable. the restuarant has a very nice menue with a variety of dishes, everything very tasty and with fair prices. and above all are the people who are running the operastion who give you a homy feeling and are attentive to our needs.

Stayed for a week in a junior suite with my family (2 adults, 2 kids age 11 and 9). The hotel is great value for money and has a wide range of services, e.g. spa area, massage, gym (basic, but awesome view of the mountains), and a good restaurant. Prices are Swiss standard, but the location is hard to beat. Everything you need - lifts, shops, rentals restaurant, bus stop - is literally right outside. Coupled with the genuine and amazingly good service by Paulo and his team makes this the heart of Flims in every sense.

This was a quick overnight stay. At arrival the main door was locked - called a number that was posted at the door and this wonderful lady came right away to unlock the door. Check-in took two seconds. The room was small but functional - I had a view of the mountains - see pictures attached.
Breakfast was quite delicious - birchermuesli, eggs, bread, yogurt, cold cuts, coffee, tea, juices.
Had to park my car in the garage - got a code from the front desk to the the car down the elevator - tight fit for the small car I had rented.
Overall I had a great night sleep and a good stay.

The place its small but its not too bad. I like quiet place and the weather its good. My partner and i would recommended for people who really like natural and peaceful place. Please come around summer time if you want an amazing experiences
