Pros:

Die Lage war sehr gut und zentral.

Cons:

Das Geschirr war schmutzig (Pfannen und die Beschichtung zerkratzt). Das Mobiliar in die Jahre gekommen. Der Lüfter im Bad war sehr sehr laut. Der Fußboden im Schlafzimmer nicht sauber.

Pros:

The room was cozy and spacious enough for one person. The bathroom was clean and I appreciate them providing shower amenities. The communal fridge and microwave were a nice touch. There's a 24/7 supermarket directly opppsite the hotel and a hiking trail less than 100m away. I rented a SUP board from them and it was reasonably priced. Aleksandra was really nice. She set me up with everything I needed and gave me tips on where to launch my board. I wish I had paddled more but it was really cold and rainy most of the time during my stay.

The restaurant next to the hotel serves really good food. I had their fried salmon and it exceeded my expectations. I would have loved to try out more dishes if I weren't travelling on a budget. (Eating out in Norway isn't exactly cheap.) Their restaurant staff are also very friendly!

I definitely recommend staying at Yttersia Base. It was calming to just sit on the terrace of the restaurant or by the beach and let the time pass by while you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Senja.

Good accommodation for one to several nights while staying in Skaland to explore this part of Senja and hike nearby trai
Pros:

Great location in Skaland: at the main trailhead for hiking directly on the trail to Husfjelett Peak, and across the street from a Joker grocery open 24 hours and public picnic overlooking the bay. Also very comfortable beds & comforters.

Cons:

The included breakfast was just okay, no hot/cooked food items.

Pros:

Ottima base di partenza per escursioni e passeggiate. Noi abbiamo dormito metà notte e poi siamo saliti alla vetta di Hesten alle 4 di notte, arrivando in cima alle sei per vedere Segla illuminata dal sole. Fantastico. Yttersia base è a 40 min. di strada, passando per altri posti bellissimi come la penisola da cui si ammirano i Denti del Diavolo.

Cons:

Direi proprio nulla. Anche la zona intorno Skaland è molto rilassante e pittoresca. Non ci sono attrazioni "turistiche" ma è questo il bello!

Amazing place!
Pros:

Yttersia base has a fantastic location, close to amazing mountain treks like Husfjellet right outside the door, close to the charming beach Bøvær. It is a perfect base to explore the most beautiful areas of Senja!
Super kind staff who are always available to help out with anything! Cozy restaurant next door with good food. A small grocery shop across the road open 24/7.
We particularly enjoyed a good night sleep in the comfy beds with amazing duvet and pillows.

Relaxed and clean!
Pros:

It is functional and clean! Easy going, and it has a great view on the Fjord, which is only 30 meters away. A grocery store is located just in front and the store is very complete!
The diner was good and also the breakfast!
I would definitely go there again!
