The property was very clean and spacious with great amenities such as the outside pool and also the indoor pool and 24 hour gym and a yoga and spin studio. The room itself was well proportioned with a balcony and all amenities in the room. The staff were very kind and friendly. The beach access is beautifully done with lovely wooden slates that will take you from the gardens of the hotel’s property straight to the beach. It felt quite private when I went down and the sunset was really beautiful. The hotel property is outside of the town. It is possible to walk from the hotel into town which I had to do because there was a cycling event on it takes approximately about an hour to do so but if you catch a cab, which I did on the way back, it’s about five minute journey. I’d really recommend the walk into town, it’s a beautiful walk with some really stunning sea views.
I chose the property for the spa and hadn’t appreciated that even as a hotel guest you will have to pay to use spa. The cost is approximately €35 per person which can easily add up if you’re are staying for more than a week. I appreciate that I went out of season but they didn’t seem to be a lot of availability. They only had either one or two members of staff in the spa which meant that I wasn’t able to get the treatment I wanted on the day I wanted, but the spa receptionist was very friendly and when she had a cancellation tried to book me in but unfortunately by then, I had already made plans for the day.

The quality of food served in the restaurant and poolside was poor quality given the price. Better food would make it better. For instance, £18 for 3 oysters was disappointing and the 17 euro burger was really poor quality meat

I recently stayed at a Kimpton property in the Algarve with a group of 13 people across 7 rooms, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
From the moment we arrived, the service was consistently disappointing. The bellboy, Esmeraldo, behaved in a way that felt dismissive and unwelcoming—he barely acknowledged us, made no effort to assist with luggage, and came across as if helping guests was beneath him. This set the tone for the rest of our stay.
What was even more frustrating was that this attitude seemed widespread among the staff. Basic hospitality—such as greeting guests, smiling, or showing willingness to help—was largely absent. Even the housekeeping staff would pass by without a simple “good morning,” which made the environment feel cold and uninviting.
As a group spending a significant amount of money at the hotel, we expected at the very least a professional and courteous level of service. Instead, we found ourselves repeatedly complaining about how unwelcome we felt, which completely overshadowed what was meant to be a relaxing holiday.
This experience has seriously impacted our perception of the Kimpton brand, and unless there are clear improvements in staff training and guest relations, we would not consider staying at this hotel—or others in the group—again.

On top of it, they have a timer set and it goes out at 6:30 AM
Both the nights couldn’t sleep well as ac didn’t work.
Bed ; super hard.
Bathroom : 15 min ro wash the hands. Forget about shaving. Water hardly comes out as they have installed water saving
Went at the roof top.
Total three tables and it took them 45 minutes after 3 reminders and on top was told by the bartender that he wasn’t superman !!
