Probably the best place to stay downtown.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel close to the downtown square. Very nice rooms, comfortable and well appointed. Upscale but cool vibe. Staff was very helpful.

Pros:

No pool. The lobby feels cold. It's neat but not comfy. Desk is strange. Rooms aren't clearly marked on the second floor because it feels like your about to set off a fire alarm.

Cons:

No pool. Balconies are a little janky. Small qnd not private. I didn't like that the hotel doesn't providefree bottled water like all of the Marriotts do. It's different when you have to get it out of the wall. Don't like that there's no breakfast included. I mean it is a Walmart town after all. Value value value. It just felt like a warehouse

My entire stay at The Compton was wonderful.
Pros:

This hotel was wonderful! The staff, amenities, and location make it a perfect place for a wind weekend getaway. I will definitely return to The Compton. They even have bikes for families to rent. The whole experience was amazing.

Cons:

The bath towels were very large and heavy like beach towels, but that’s just a personal preference.

The stay was okay, could’ve been better if the room placement was better!
Pros:

The location was great, considering it was downtown and not far from most activities.

Cons:

We were placed an a handicap accessible room which was not necessary and pretty inconvenient for us.

Perfection
Pros:

We adored everything! The location is perfect for exploring downtown. The staff are impressively friendly and helpful. The architecture is stunning. The aesthetic is modern, warm, bright, and overall gorgeous, with breathtaking art throughout. Our room was comfortable and beautifully appointed all around.
