Pros:

Accessible location even if you’re a bit of a walk away from the city’s main attractions. Staff were super helpful and the room was very good!

Cons:

You could hear a lot going on throughout the night and the AC was pretty noisy too. Otherwise all good!

Pros:

Nice place. We booked the 22 sqaure meter room. It felt more spacious. The staff was kind and helpfull. The wifi was fine we could work the whole week with no problem. Overall good stay. Not on the main road makes it feel little bit non noisier.

The place is not too far from the touristy places. Great location.

Extremely disappointing!

The location was quite central.

Cons:

I booked this place expecting a comfortable long stay, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. I was told I’d been upgraded on arrival, which sounded great—until I discovered it wasn’t true. The “upgraded” room didn’t match the description or the photos: there was supposed to be a washing machine, but all that was there was an empty hole where one should have been. The TV also didn’t work. When I asked to change rooms, I was told none were available, so effectively, instead of the room I booked, I ended up being “upgraded” to the worst room they had. They did move us to a different next day.

Both rooms had a kitchen, but absurdly, there was nothing to actually cook with—no pots, pans, cutlery, or utensils of any kind. The only thing we had was 2 tea cups (supposedly so we could drink water), and one of them was dirty. So, you’re paying for a kitchenette that’s completely unusable.

The beds are ridiculously low, “Japanese style” with mattresses just a couple of inches above the floor, so, if you have mobility issues, don’t stay here. Also, neither of the rooms I saw was properly equipped: the first had a TV that didn’t work, while the second didn’t even have a TV—just the metal bracket where one should have been.

Despite being advertised as new, the property needs serious renovation! It lacks the basic amenities for a long stay, and I honestly don’t understand how it maintains such a high rating. I’m only writing such a long review to warn others not to make the same mistake I did. Don’t be fooled by the photos—this place looks nothing like what’s promised.

If you’re looking for a place in Ho Chi Minh City that truly makes you feel welcome, Amory Hotel Nguyen Trai is an absolute gem.

From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness. Their hospitality wasn’t the scripted, “hotel polite” kind. It felt sincere and personal. Every question we had was answered with patience, and they always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. You can really feel that they care about their guests.

The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and perfectly located for exploring the city. After long days walking around Saigon, it felt so nice to return to a place where the staff greeted us like familiar faces.

What stood out the most was the atmosphere they created. Friendly smiles, helpful recommendations, and little gestures of kindness that made our stay memorable. It’s the kind of place that reminds you that great hospitality can turn a simple hotel stay into a wonderful experience.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Thank you to the amazing team at Amory Hotel Nguyen Trai for making our trip even more special. We would gladly stay here again.

Cons:

The only small downside was that we weren’t able to use the induction cooker to cook during our stay. Aside from that, everything else was great. Thank you for the genuine hospitality and kindness. We would happily stay here again.

Lots of mosquitoes in the area. Keep Insect repellent handy.

The sliding window was kept crack open by the housekeeping staff which led to a lot of mosquitoes. The first night was spent smashing those mosquitoes. Kept us up whole night.
