Hotel Tiber Rooftop & Wellness

We needed to spend a night in Rome before departing for an early morning flight and Hotel Tiber fit the bill. They were very communicative prior to our arrival, offering information about transportation to the airport at the wee hour of the morning.
The room was great, location was fun as it was so nice to walk the canal and see how the locals spend a Sunday afternoon! There are oodles of restaurants so near the hotel as well as a grocery store and gelato.
In some ways, it would be a nice hotel to return to after a full day in the heart of busy Rome. Pretty mellow compared to the crowds in the city.

I booked this hotel on 9/1-9/3 for a 1 nights stay coming from the Amalfi. We canceled on the spot when we arrived at the hotel and rebooked in Rome city.
This hotel is VERY old and Badly in need of renovations. This is not a 4 star hotel at best 1 star. They even charged me $125 penalty fee for canceling on the spot. Did not matter those accommodations were not up to par and Certainly NOT up to my standards
I looked at the rooms and there were no modern outlets and the linen was old and worn. No restaurants around and in town to walk to.
Overall, just horrible with false advertisement

Excellent Stay beautiful place!

The hotel was perfect for anyone needing a sleepover from the airport, anyone who wants to visit Ostia, and anyone just wanting to spend time away from the madness of Roma Centrale. My only complaints are minor (front desk not clear on certain rules and charges and an inability to control the temperature in my room. Fortunately the evening was very cool, even with the windows closed.)

There were extra fees and taxes and every time we used the shuttle to the airport they charge for transportation. Recommend people book a hotel in Rome if you want to walk around and see the attractions. Paid an extra $250 just for transportation services to and from the hotel in 5 days.

Would have been nice to know that a shuttle was available at the airport to take you to the hotel. Their video was outdated. Center boulevard is not the same as their video

Very cozy and great hotel near to Airport restaurant food is so delicious and excellent menu also very good breakfast as well. Nice rooftop with bar and pool !

Friendly staff

Everything is an additional charge, the gym, the pool. That is not made clear at the time of booking.

We used this hotel to rest between overseas flight and a cruise. Hotel was convenient to airport and offered a timely transfer to cruise port. Breakfast was great!

We had just flown back from Bari and as we had visited Rome before we decided to stay near the airport for our flight back to Australia the next day. This hotel was great - staff were very helpful, room was nice - we had one with a balcony, breakfast was very good, and lots of really good restaurants for dinner just down the road. The hotel also allowed a late check out of 12pm which suited our flights the next day perfectly. We didn't use the pool but the are on the roof top is lovely. The shuttle service to the hotel to and from the airport was also handy and only 7 euro each way. We also went for a lovely walk around the harbour area in the morning which was nice. overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

After a lot of research I chose Hotel Tiber. While doing the research it seemed like the choices near the airport were poor. After seeing the area my assumptions were confirmed. Most hotels are on a narrow strip that gets exceedingly crowded and hard to get in and out of. The nice part about Hotel Tiber is it's away from this strip. The hotel overlooks a shipping harbor. This is not to say that it's a beautiful view, but it's not bad.
They room and hotel were both clean and well maintained. We were happy that we could catch a shuttle to the airport for a small fee. Just be sure to reserve your shuttle time as the shuttle gets filled up quickly and there's a lot of traffic to the airport.
Food is expensive in the area unless you're interested in some of the little shops along the stip with limited choices.
Our biggest grievance was the noise. We had an early morning flight on a Sunday and Saturday night they had a party in the restaurant below that seemed to go on forever with pulsating music. Not the best for trying to sleep. Even before the music began we noticed that every time someone moves a chair around in another room (which seems to happen a lot) you hear the sound. Quite annoying. The hotel should consider putting something on the chair legs to minimize the noise.
Overall I do think Hotel Tiber is one of your best choices near the airport.

Nice size rooms, had a slightly blocked drain the in shower but it was fixed immediately. Excellent staff and communication with a great choice of nice restaurants for our last night in Rome. Very close to the airport for convenience with affordable shuttle available
