Nothing, perfect location and amenities
Easily located in key largo. Right on the water. Sand and beautiful water views. Walking distance to great food. Heated beautiful pool. Amazing island oasis
Slight highway noise noted for the room closest to the road but I understand new windows are being placed so that should help with noise.
This place offers some of the best experiences ever. I came having never even snorkeled before and thanks to the help of a great staff, I am leaving with a newfound passion for diving. The instructors here are some of the most understanding, helpful people I have ever met. Specifically, Tom Simmons, my instructor and guide, is the nicest man ever. He made something as complicated as diving simple and fun. One of the new divers in my group was struggling with anxiety and he helped her overcome her fears, and now, she loves diving so much. My other instructor, Ricki, was so much fin to be around and helped me so much as I learned to dive. She has such a warming and welcoming personality that made me feel at home. Besides them, the rest of the staff was all so great for our entire trip. The resort itself was also so beautiful. It was a great low key Florida vibe where everyone feels like family. The sunset over the water was also so so amazing. Even for the non-divers in my family, there was still so much to do between kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and just taking in the beauty of the Key Largo. The reefs were even more beautiful, and the guides were so great in showing us all of the wonders of the sea. Overall, this was one of the best weeks of my life, and I know I will be coming back here in the years to come. I highly recommend this location to all who wish to witness the wonders the ocean has to offer.
Beautiful, peaceful and very clean place!
Lovely place and lovely staff. Location is to die for. Gorgeous sunsets!
We found the Amoray to be excellent. The grounds were immaculate and the room and bath were both so clean and well kept. The bed was verycomfortable and the Keurig coffee maker was very much appreciated. The key code lock made after-hours check-in a breeze. We will definitely look to stay there again.
The views are amazing, and the room is exceptionally clean. and the peaceful place around it.
The location is perfect. It’s cute, new, nice, comfy. Rooms are great! Value I feel it’s a little pricy considering we were also scuba diving, but definitely worth it. Super clean. No noise. Great service from staff and from Cap Greg and Nick. Bring your food before you come.
Location, atmosphere
Water pressure in shower was very poor. Washing machine did not wash clothes very well
This was my third stay with Amoray and I noticed some upgrades since I was last there in September. Most notably the addition of keypad locks on the room doors, which is so much easier than carrying around the key all the time and worrying about losing it in the water lol. I also spied newer kayaks. This trip was unplanned- I stayed due to bad weather over US-1, and quite literally walked into the office less than an hour before closing. The staff were kind and courteous and got me into a room in less than 10 minutes. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the showers have amazing water pressure. I will be back soon :)
My daughter and her husband found Amoray resort on line, dive and stay, boat is right there, every dive staff member was amazing, Christina, Gabe, January, Erica, Kent, Kevin, Capt G, Kate, Tess, and all the office staff. Perfect location for 7 of us to build memories of a lifetime for a weeks long stay, dive, relaxing by waterfront for sunsets, while enjoying a sit down take out at their waterfront tables. Snorkeling right from the waterfront I saw one of the biggest sting rays, several barracuda.
Gear rental went smoothly every morning, 6 2-tank dives, 25'-30' diving we saw Moray eels, 5 different types of nudi-branch, loggerhead turtle, squirrel fish, drums, and beautiful reefs along with schools of yellow snapper, queen angels, butterfly fish, boxfish, Goliath grouper, trumpetfish, dark blue parrot fish, not that many lionfish (thank goodness), blue tang, and the always charging Sergeant Majors everywhere along with several others and of course Christ of the Abyss. We missed the eagle ray on this trip, maybe next visit.
Grills were mentioned but we decided not to use them, last day we found a usable one towards the front. Wish I had brought a rain coat or warm cover up, most trips were in the 80's but couple days barely 70 and rainy. Ride out is 45 minutes and ready to jump in as soon as we arrived on site. 1 hr bottom time. Heated pool was nice when we got back, would have been nice to have more space between divers but it worked, everything went so smoothly.
Thank you for having us and looking forward to our next stay!
Had a fantastic stay. The dive staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful, especially with the rough seas. Even with a large boat, there was still individualized attention, and always someone to ask for help if necessary. The dive resort was also so helpful and available anytime we needed anything.
The privacy of feeling like I’m in a cozy seaside cabin.
Although I understand that the property is mainly intended for people who go diving, I didn’t really like that the same pool used by guests was also used for classes.
Property is so clean and the plants and flowers are beautiful, room was very clean and bright, bathroom shower is so nice, staff was super friendly and helpful at check in, we were just passing through for a one night stay, but we loved it!!! Plus there was a beautiful sunset
This was a last minute day trip. Best decision we made. The resort was beautiful. The room and view was even better. Amazing sunset. Clean and comfortable room. Perfect for everything we wanted to do. Amazing restaurants within walking distance. Requested a late check out and was given two options which worked out perfectly.
