The hotel is good with excellent outdoor activities. The tranquil environment makes holidaying and relaxing very easy. Highly recommended.

The scenery is excellent! The peace and quite enables one to mediate and recharge. World class space for those who seek to rest whilst enjoying amazing views. This a place to visit for those who want to enjoy the best of Zimbabwe.

We really enjoyed the scenic environment which was very relaxing and soothing after a long year. The resort staff were attentive and polite, the food was ok and the rooms too. We received a lot on information on on site and off site activities which made our stay very enjoyable and the kids enjoyed the gaming room and the swimming pool as well

Excellent location, scenery and lake-view rooms that open up directly towards the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the porters who are always on hand to help. We enjoyed the boat cruise and canoe experience which we recommend to fully appreciate the beauty of the hotel's amazing location. Very good quality sleep and shower facilities with variable pressure shower with lots of hot water. Resort rating was slightly let down by lengthy check in and room not being ready at check in time, check-out was very long, there were limited activities for children (no quad bikes for children which they would have enjoyed), disrepair of some room facilities. We expected better from a 4-star resort. Other than that, it was a memorable stay and I still recommend it. I am willing to give Troutbeck Resort another visit in a year's time to see if they have made improvements to my concerns for me to give them all 5 stars.

The hotel is magnificent, and the staff is very welcoming and professional. I enjoyed both the stay and the food. The hotel is quite suitable for business, leisure and as a getaway from all the noisy, busy areas. It is also quiet with good, unique weather. You get an unique experience in your own way.

I had a lovely weekend with my wife...beutiful views...great service...highly recommend this resort...there are also several activities to do...wanted to play a round golf but time was not on our side.

I love Troutbeck inn hotel. Each time I am there I am always impressed. The hotel is improving with each of my visit.

A very tranquil place with lots of greenery. The hotel service was great. However the room i used had a stuffy smell and the carpet needs deep cleaning. Overall a great place!

I strongly recommend anyone who will be visiting Nyanga to book at Troutbeck and receive first class Zimbabwean hospitality.

Improve on electric blankets in particular underblanket. The hotel culture in particular at the entrance gate is adorable and outstanding. The environment is clean and comfortable. Staff were help helpful while a few were inept. One waiter in the restaurant area could not understand what a non-sugared juice was and subsequently no senior could come to his rescue. Generally, hospitality was great amid power challenges.

We went to the Hotel for a lunchtime meal in the restaurant. It was terrible and the 2*s are for our server as he was lovely but that was all that was good.
We were not allowed in the restaurant and offered a sofa in the sun room! Where we would have to eat off our knees or off a low coffee table !!! It was way too windy to sit outside despite the offer to put up an umbrella and it was quite chilly so not an option. We found a table in a corner that we could use. And then after we ordered they decided that as someone else wanted to eat in the restaurant maybe they could let us in - too late! We were done! We asked for grilled whole trout (silly thinking that as the hotel is on a trout lake and there is a hatchery and fish pond there it would be fresh!) and grilled trout fillet. We got fried trout that was beyond dead and edible - chips were freezer burnt and tough and horrible and the token "salad" was old and recycled. Even the swirl garnish of something red on the plate was congealed and been on there for hours at least as it had a thick skin on it. After 4 weeks of travelling Zimbabwe this has to be the worst food experience and connot recommend it at all. The hotel itself still has the old Troutbeck charm and a walk around the lake, although a mess in some places, is still lovely. Golf course seems to be in good condition.
