Perfect and lovely
Pros:

We had the BEST stay! Michele and Thor took such kind care of us, they gave us the best recommendations for restaurants, hikes, skiing - and they made us feel at home. They have made the hotel so cute with tons of thoughtful touches, decorations, giving it a beautiful vibe. Also the breakfast every day was amazing and they even gave us Easter treats. Would highly recommend to stay here in Zermatt and we can’t wait to come back!

Cozy small hotel in the heart of town
Pros:

Romantica is a family run hotel that sits in a perfect location in walking distance to everything important in Zermatt. We had a spacious suite with balcony and fantastic views. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic. Romantica is steps from the main street with dozens of shops and restaurants.

Pros:

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Zermatt. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is spotless, very well maintained, and the staff are truly excellent—friendly, professional, and always ready to help.
The location is amazing, just about 30 meters from the main street in Zermatt, surrounded by great restaurants and bars. It’s also perfectly positioned between both ski lift stations, making it ideal for skiing and getting around the village.

Charming, Spotless Stay in an Excellent Location
Pros:

A truly beautiful and quaint property, full of character and charm. The location was excellent—perfectly situated to explore the area with everything you need close by. It struck a great balance between peaceful surroundings and easy access to local attractions. Albeit small, the room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Would happily stay again.

Cons:

Nothing significant to dislike overall. The only point worth mentioning is that the breakfast could better cater to vegetarians. The eggs were placed alongside the bacon and sausages with shared or adjacent serving utensils, which led to some cross-contamination. It would also be helpful to include additional non-meat options such as potatoes, hash browns, or beans to accompany the eggs for those who don’t eat meat.

Top notch hospitality
Pros:

Thor and Michelle provide some of the warmest hospitality we have experienced in our travels. The hotel is cozy and quintessentially Swiss. In a town filled with 5 star stuffy and absurdly expensive options, Hotel Romantica is authentic and provides amazing value.

Cons:

I can see the stairs in the cottage to be a bit tricky to navigate for older guests. My wife mentioned offering better cosmetics.

Magical… A dream of a place 💫💫 !
Pros:

This place is simply a dream ! We loved absolutely everything about our stay. Every detail has been thought through with such care, and the cabin is incredibly cozy, beautifully arranged !
Our hosts were simply fantastic and made the whole experience even more special.
Breakfast was delicious, and the entire stay felt like a magical escape. We honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to stay in Zermatt.
Thank you for everything and cannot wait to come back!

Een heerlijk verblijf in het hart van Zermatt!
Pros:

Super vriendelijke ontvangst en de gastvrijheid van Michelle en Thor! Ze doen er alles aan om de gasten naar de zin te maken. Ze zijn attent en denken in alles met je mee; niets is teveel gevraagd.

Cons:

De hoofdkussens vonden we niet optimaal, maar ook weer niet zodanig dat we om andere kussens hebben gevraagd, dus was het okay, maar dit is het enige wat ik zo kan bedenken.
