Hillside Resort Pattaya

Avoid this place at all costs. It is an absolute dump and looks nothing like the photos advertised. The entire property is extremely misleading and poorly maintained. There is also no lift, which is a major issue for anyone with mobility problems. I even emailed ahead of my arrival to make them aware of my accessibility needs, yet I was still placed on the top floor. Their excuse was that all other rooms were taken, which is completely unacceptable given I had notified them in advance.

The staff are unhelpful, dismissive, and make you feel like you are a burden rather than a paying guest. Customer service is clearly not a priority here. One morning I went for breakfast, which was included in my booking package, only to be approached while I was already eating and told breakfast was not included. I was left feeling embarrassed and had to stop eating, find my booking confirmation, and go to reception to prove I was entitled to it. The level of disorganisation is shocking and completely unprofessional.

To make matters worse, there is constant noise from neighbouring properties. Dogs bark throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning, making it almost impossible to get any proper sleep. There appears to be no attempt by management to address this or ensure guests have a comfortable stay.

Overall, this was a very disappointing and stressful experience. Poor accessibility, rude staff, terrible organisation, misleading advertising, and excessive noise. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.

Pretty average property away from main area to Pattaya with silent surroundings and less places to eat nearby. Quite old hotel and needs alot to renovation specially washrooms. Hotel has good garden area and beautiful pool. Reception staff needs to learn hospitality as they are quite reluctant in Checkin Checkout policies.

Large room with good AC. I enjoyed the onsite restaurant eating there everyday. 7-11 nearby and walkable to downtown

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. The management at this hotel needs to be changed. The hotel has a bad rat problem, new feces every day in the room. The place stank of perfumes to cover up the stink. The employees seem unhappy and over worked. Bad location, must walk about 1 km on busy street to get to restaurants.

Got a deluxe room.
Certainly a little tired, but for the price, I really couldn't grumble.

Decent television, hot water in shower, and reasonable size room.

Others mentioned grumpy staff in their revi, but they seemed fine.

On the whole good value for the very reasonable rate.

There is no LIFT or help with bags.
The pool is not clean.
I paid extra for Supreme room.
My neighbour paid extra for Deluxe room.
We both got brown old Standard room (photo’s added) overlooking car park.
I complained until my emails were ignored.
Half hotel (overlooking garden) is probably quite nice and refurbished.
The other half including my room (309) is dirty, run down, old and disappointing.

Well located on a quiet side street to the main Pra Tam Nak boulevard. The place is rather welcoming until you reach the Front Desk where the staff will leave you standing for endless minutes, hook they are on their cell phone.. Nobody seems to speak any English but a photo of your booking does make things happen..
Functional and clean room, tiny outdated bathroom and pleasant natural day light.

If you want to have your worst experience, definitely stay in this hotel. We were a group of 6 friends who stayed in this hotel for only one night and it was the worst experience for us. The staff is very rude, the photos of the rooms are completely different from the photos on the website, the rooms are very dirty, the service is terrible, there is no censorship and the pool is small and the location is far from everything.

This was one of the worst hotels in my life and I left early in the morning. The room photo did not match the advertising photos at all. Look at the photo of the bathroom. How can this be in a normal hotel? This is not dirt, it cannot be washed off, perhaps it was left by previous tenants to take revenge for the uncomfortable stay. The photo is real. All the accompanying feelings were also present. The night staff selectively understands people with English and does not help with requests. The stay was filled with severe discomfort. I strongly do not recommend visiting this hotel.

paid for an expensive room,got no coffee supplied or internal table and chairs,so assume they gave us a basic room,never got dealt with despite asking

Floors were worn out. Bathroom was dated, tub has serious water stains. Windows had cracks, hence mosquitoes in the room. Quite the contrast to previous property we stayed night before.

Thanks to the hotel staff for taking good care of our requirements. The property location is so beautiful and the way Mr. Sham has maintained the property is too amazing. We loved the ambience, food, service, and the way staff treated us. Overall it was a beautiful and a lovely experience of 3 days at the property. A really good to go place 🫰😊
