It was all amazing except the one light not working and the phone didn’t really have a number to call for room service and the tv was kind of not working too well but other than that everything was well!
The tv and the light not working.
The room location staff and food
too expensive, everything had a fee and was charged
Hotel was great, its my 2nd stay. Only complaint is the noise...at night constant sirens, walls are super thin you can hear your neighbors. First night I didn't get any sleep. 2nd night I asked for ear plugs and I slept much better. Rooms are a good size, staff is very nice, and location is grear.
It was very noisy from street and sirens to thin walls you can hear your neighbors.
I recently stayed with my entire family as we were attending a family wedding.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious (especially for NY). The front desk honoured our request to have our multiple rooms on the same floor. They brought me a bottle of wine, cheese plate, and some fruit as an Ambassador amenity.
The location is good. Easy to walk to many sights. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance.
The stars of the hotel are the front desk team and the concierge team. Alexander, Sandra, Jose and others made my stay (which was stressful at times due to last minute wedding complications) very enjoyable. Concierge recommendations for restaurants and hair salons were excellent.
I would come back.
Very disappointed in the lack of transparency on the application of the destination fee. The hotel mentions that a destination fee is added onto the per night stay of $35. When you dig into the details it says that it is a credit that will be applied towards food purchases. I spent ~$85 in the hotel restaurant but only $17.50 was applied as a credit. I requested explanation but received none. You have to really dig into the fine print to even know about the credit. Nothing was mentioned at check in or in the email welcome letter.
Irina in guest services the best she welcomes you in the lobby great mid town hotel
We stayed at the Westin Grand Central from 2/27 - 3/1/26. We have stayed there several times - once yearly for the past 6 or 7 years and have always had good experiences there - clean, comfortable room, accommodating staff and a great location. There has generally (probably always) been a "resort fee" or "destination fee" for the use of the gym and/or pool which we never use (too much else to do!). So in the past we have asked for, and received, vouchers for the buffet breakfast. We I inquired about that this year I was told they no longer do that since the first of the year. So the cost of the buffet breakfast is now $46/person. Wow!! I understand that it's New York and expect to pay more for that but that price seems extreme (the buffet is good but is in no way exceptional). They have a "grab and go" bar with similarly high prices. We paid $12.50 for a 6 oz. yogurt parfait. Ouch! Also, given that the resort fee is built in, one could reasonably expect some sort of amenity, such as a bottle or two of water included in the room.
So in future we'll do more research and hope to find a similarly priced hotel with an included breakfast option, or simply walk down the street to a more reasonably price cafe.
Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Well located.
We went to New York for Xmas could not fault the hotel perfect choice.
The Westin Grand Central definitely caters to their guests. We were greeted by Jose Miguel everyday and evening. He asked us how our visits were and expressed an interest in who we were and how he could help us to have the best experience both at the hotel and in the city. He was always available to answer our questions and knowledgeable witn the answers. He would be there at the end of the day and listen yo our experiences. This hotel is very fortunate to have Jose Miguel working as a Concierge for them. We also met Hector who greeted us and provided services at the door when we left and returned to the hotel. He was always diligent in helping us retrieve our transportation. You will want to meet these two great men when you visit this hotel. These are two top notch employees who care about servicing people as much as they can. While checking out I had the pleasure to interact with Lily. Sge is a treat to greet you at the desk and talk with you while taking care of business. A shout out to housekeeping as the rooms we had were always cleaned and prepared the best they could be. I highly recommend this hotel for the family environment they have and the high expectations they show for this caliber of a hotel.
Staying at this hotel for 7 nights and brought my golf bag to luggage room on the fifth day for them store the bag until I check out. But I was refused……I have never had experience like this at any other hotel. The guy said the storage room is only for those check in early and don’t have a room ready and those checked out and want to leave luggage before they leave.
Not to mention I have titanium status…….well I will not come back to this hotel anymore.
Hector was amazing and so accommodating! I enjoyed my stay at the hotel but Hector made it incredible! If you visit, ask for him!
I stayed here for 2 weeks and Hector the door man was extremely friendly and courteous. He’s always with a smile and gives great advice on surrounds of nyc. He is amazing.
While I didn’t need any bag assistance or car rides on this trip, I was still very warmly greeted by Hector the doorman anytime I came or left the hotel. He is so friendly and genuine and made coming and leaving the hotel always a pleasure. He is the most gracious host any visitor could ask for! He made me feel very welcome and as a solo traveler, that means so much.
Hector was awesome
He was a great valet. Always quick and on point
My partner and I took a staycation here on a cold saturday night and it was a great experience. I told the concierge Eve that my gf and I were celebrating an early Valentine’s day and she went the extra mile to get us a nice corner room AND a plate of fruits, cheese, crackers, and chocolate covered strawberries. It was a very very nice gesture one that we very much appreciate. The manager Irina was also very accommodating and helped solve a small hiccup in our stay and made it 100 times better. Hotel and quality 10/10! Would recommend for a stay.
