We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2026. The property is very beautiful and quiet, the rooms are spacious with lovely views and the staff is super helpful and exceptional in service. They have a number of activities and we tried a few and were delighted with all of them. Special mention for the bird walk in the morning, the spa sessions and the candlelight dinner organised by the pool.
The food is also very good and has a homely feel.
All in all a super experience befitting the property’s reputation as one of the top resorts in Coorg. We will certainly come again!

The location is very beautiful , very calm and serine environment. Best place to spend your time away from city . The rooms are also very good , very neat . Bojamma , darshan and Irayappa have done a good job in keeping the room neat and clean. Overall we had a very good time.

It was a fantastic experience. We were absolutely delighted and satisfied.
We felt the ownership / management has taken good care of the staff. It very clearly reflected on how they cared for us.
Right from the moment we stepped in and met Sahana until the time we checked out everyone knew how to make us feel comfortable, valued and happy.
The food was awesome and the staff at the restaurant fed us as if we were there family. Arun the chef, Manjunath and everyone one of them deserve a huge thanks from us.

An Extraordinary Stay at The Tamara Coorg with One Major Concern
Our experience at The Tamara was truly extraordinary—honestly, even better than what I had expected. I visited with my son for 2 days on their summer package, and every moment inside the property felt special.
The hospitality stood out in every way. Mr. Dinesh was extremely professional, helpful, and cordial, ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food was absolutely delightful, and the experiences curated by the team were memorable. We especially loved the cardamom and rudraksh trail trek—our naturalist, Aswath, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative, which made the entire experience even more enriching.
However, I must highlight a serious concern regarding the commute arranged through the Tamara travel desk. Despite repeatedly informing them that I would be traveling solo with my son and requesting a competent and responsible driver, the experience was very disappointing.
The assigned driver, Gopal Nayek (from Arjun Travels), was rash and appeared unwell (continuously coughing). He was also a chain smoker and continued smoking despite repeated requests to stop. Additionally, there was constant complaining about the road conditions, which made the journey uncomfortable and stressful.
While the stay at The Tamara was exceptional, I would strongly recommend not opting for their arranged commute services.

This is the most beautiful location in the jungle, surrounded by trees, only birds and nature sounds to be heard.
The room was-apart from super clean- decorated every day with so much love to detail (Ravi, the lady from houskeeping did a spectacular job there).
The buffet was incredible, so much to chose from, and everything we tried was delicious.
All staff were amazing, and special thanks to Preethy.
We will be back!

The Tamara Coorg is our second home and the credit goes to their Hospitality. We love their food, stay, service and staff. Sahana ensures you are always taken care off. She has been extremely helpful both the times we visited. Must visit for couples and families. Thank you team ❤

I stayed at The Tamara Coorg last weekend with a colleague, and the experience was excellent. The property remains as pristine and welcoming as my first visit in 2016. The staff were responsive and genuinely attentive. We enjoyed the monsoon freshness with the cleanest AQI, great food, and thoughtful service throughout. The plantation tour, morning trek, and coffee tasting were highlights, led brilliantly by Hema and Uma. Sahana, the relationship manager, ensured every request was handled smoothly, including a special visit to the cardamom plants. A consistently high-quality experience.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Coorg, The Tamara feels less like a resort and more like a quiet retreat into nature’s embrace. The aesthetic beauty of the place is truly captivating— dense forests whispering in the breeze, and cottages thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Every corner invites you to slow down and soak in the serenity.

What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional hospitality. The front desk managers, Jafar and Sahana, were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure every detail of our stay was comfortable. Their genuine care and professionalism made us feel welcomed from the very beginning.

The dining experience was equally delightful. The food was of high quality, with a great balance of flavors, and the service staff were impressively efficient. A special mention to Akhil , Sukhora and Sam, and restaurant co ordinators , Mr. Biteappa and Mr. Manjunath, their attentive and courteous service made every meal even more enjoyable. All the other waiters and staff were equally attentive but couldnt enquire their names.
Housekeeping did a seamless job too, keeping the room very tidy.

I am wheelchair-bound, and accessibility is always a major concern while traveling. Truly appreciated how accommodating the resort was in this regard. The team made thoughtful arrangements and ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay, which made a significant difference to my overall experience. Highly recommend.

Given the steep and expansive terrain of the property, getting around on foot can be a bit challenging. However, this is where the buggy drivers truly shine. Sohan, Sudish, Hrithik and Mandana were incredibly helpful, always available on call, and ensured smooth and comfortable transportation across the resort with great care and kindness.

Overall, The Tamara Coorg offers a beautiful blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality—making it a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. Surely will visit again.

Coming from Delhi, where an AQI of 200+ is just another Tuesday, stepping into The Tamara Coorg and seeing the resort’s AQI meter read 11 felt nothing short of miraculous. And I have a quiet suspicion the Peace Lilies, my all-time favourite plant, tucked thoughtfully throughout the property had something to do with it. It was the first sign that this place had been designed with genuine care and intention.

Spread across 184 acres of lush coffee and spice estate in the Western Ghats, The Tamara Coorg is a rare retreat that earns every bit of its luxury tag not through opulence for opulence’s sake, but through a seamless connection to nature. The rooms are spacious, beautifully crafted and the balcony views are the kind you sit with for hours, watching mist roll over the valley with a freshly brewed estate coffee in hand.

The Blossom to Brew experience was a genuine highlight walking through the plantation trails, learning the story of coffee from flower to cup, deepened my connection to Coorg’s rich heritage in a way no museum ever could.

The breakfast buffet was equally impressive, ranging from fluffy pancakes to authentic South Indian delicacies, all fresh and generous.

But what truly elevated this stay was the staff. Every single person from housekeeping to guest services greeted us with a warm Namaste as we passed and meant it. Their warmth was genuine and unforced, attentive without ever being intrusive. They made us feel less like guests and more like family visiting home.

The Tamara Coorg isn’t just a resort but definitely a reset. Highly recommended for anyone seeking nature, tranquility, and hospitality from the heart.

Where do I start the appreciation from...the warm welcoming at reception Bouthika was of great support as we had gone to celebrate hubby's birthday. She made a beautiful arrangements at pool side, personalised decorated candle light dinner, sam the steward was polite and sweet and assisted us through out celebration. Sudeesh one of the pleasing staff took us to apiculture and we gained great knowledge. Sruthy at spa, a professional massager, sweet and polite. Hemalatha a knowledgeable person on forest, plants and mountains took us to trekking. One of the best trekking for us both. Each one of them did a great job in their respective profile. Thanks you Tamara and tram.

Our recent stay at The Tamara was less of a vacation and more of a soul-reset. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a masterclass in hospitality and environmental harmony. The way the resort blends into the natural landscape is stunning. Whether you’re waking up to see the sunrise over the hills or enjoying a coffee on a balcony that feels like a private treehouse, the views are unmatched.
The staff is excellent and very courteous. It’s that rare, genuine warmth that makes you feel special. Kudos to Riya, Sunitha from front office for a great experience - right from check-in to check-out.
Every meal was a highlight in its own. Special Thanks to Chef Arun for the local cuisine made (extra spicy as per my request). The food is worth every penny spent. Special Shoutout to Priyanshu for his exceptional service.
