Amazing place to stay if you're looking for something cheap and central. The value is incredible.
Pros:

Exceeded my expectations - beyond incredible for the price. Had the best sleep I ever had in Manhattan - even though the hotel is in LES / Chinatown, the rooms were very quiet and comfy, and the coffee was very strong and plentiful - just what I needed.

Cons:

Everything was excellent.

Pros:

It has everything a hotel room needs plus complimentary welcome snacks.

Cons:

Staff was very unaccommodating and rude, did not even bother to make eye contact with us and then we were put in the cellar room. He even pointed and told us to use the stairs, when an elevator was an option. At first, we were okay with it thinking there were other rooms, but when we checked out we found out we were the only hotel room in the basement! Why even have that option? I almost feel like there are some bias to those who booked from a third-party site. We were also next to the employee office and stock room, so the hallway was just filled with a bunch of things and we could hear all of their conversations.
