Nice hotel with big rooms,10 days in this wonderful place with most delicious foods in Tashkent.Food was absolutely heaven, big thanks to professional chef.Very friendly housekeepers always there for you.
Many thanks for making me feel at home!
Miran is close to the city center and within walking distance from the railway station. Bit aged business hotel. Rooms are huge, too big actually. Bathrooms good. All basic business hotel stuff - free water bottles, kettle, tv with some international channels. Breakfast was tasty with some local specialities. Service was polite and reception works 24h (useful as flights to Tashkent arrive at early hours). Wifi worked well.
On a business trip to Tashkent , I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 22 to 25 January 2020. I will always remember it on two counts , the huge rooms and very polite and courteous hotel staff.
I arrived at around 10-30 AM, as my luggage was misplaced by airline, tired and frustrated but lady at reception was polite and helpful , she quickly arranged for my room. Though breakfast time was over but Mr. Bakhodir (I am putting my foto with him) Incharge of Dining hall and dining hall staff really impressed me with their demeanour, Bakhodir was very kind and on my choice fixed up a very delicious cheese Omelette for me. His Assistant a lady very smilingly arranged for tea of my choice.
The location of hotel deserves 5 Stars, close to many points of interest including Amir Temur square and Museum. It is close to airport and railway station at about 15 minutes on a taxi. The taxis at Tashkent generally cost between 5000 Sum to 15000 Sum maximum to any place in Tashkent ( 0.5 USD to 1.5 USD) .
The rooms believe me are huge though bit aged now. Breakfast was wholesome. Money Exchange counter was available and rates were reasonable. Though it was freezing outside but temperature was well maintained inside the hotel and rooms. The staff was prompt, very helpful and were able to communicate in English. WiFi was ok.
방이 크고 편안함.
조식은 살짝 아쉬움.
전체적으로 만족~
Comfortable and in a fairly easily accessible spot. Taxi rank nearby. Bars within a 5 - 10 min walk. Breakfast - lots of food on display but not great. No omelette station.
Electricity a bit dodgy. Generally good standard.
While the location of this hotel is quiet and the buffet breakfast is very good, we had too many issues during our two different stays for us to recommend this hotel. Hotel photos are misleading. We faced a myriad of maintenance issues; our hotel phone did not work, several lights did not work, etc. These problems got fixed, but it was annoying for a hotel that bills itself as 5 star. There are plenty of staff on the main floor, but we had trouble getting our room cleaned each day until the evenings as the poor cleaners are overworked. The photos show large, elegant bedrooms--our standard level rooms on 2 occasions were also large but with aging and dowdy decor, dirty windows, stained carpets and cheap looking bathrooms. My bed was uncomfortable as the metal coils could be felt at the top of the mattress-- the assistant manager told me all the mattresses were like that at the hotel so it could not be changed-- we put additional towels on the bed so I could sleep. The gym was closed indefinitely. I suggest you look elsewhere.
Huge rooms are offered to the customers , excellent meals , good service !
They really try to make you happy ! Reception is small but effective.
WIFI is not strong enough ! If some one really needs a communication - this is not the place.
A good hotel that just needs some TLC, viz:
1. The desk chair flopped down and back
2. The kettle didn’t work,
3. The shower needed guest DIY (see picture)
4. The maid took 6 hours to read the “make up room”
Otherwise a pleasant stay.
Well located near several restaurants with decent amenities and a good breakfast buffet.
The dated Soviet-era rooms could do with an upgrade as they're showing their age. Built at a time when big-was-better the guest bedrooms are huge, it felt like there was enough floor space to squeeze in half a basketball court.
There's a convenient currency exchange office next to the ground floor elevator. However they close for lunch and dinner breaks. Save your receipts if you want to reconvert the local currency back into Euros or Dollars,
One of the few hotels I found to have a heated indoor swimming pool to do laps. But there's no shallow end for kiddie wading.
Huge bedrooms with very comfortable beds and pillows, a bonus when travelling around Uzbekistan. Breakfast was more than adequate although no restaurant open in evening. Staff were friendly and helpful particularly Islam, who speaks excellent English and suggested a lovely restaurant in the city and gave good directions as well as booking a table for us. He also helped with other enquiries we had.
We chose the Miran when flying in and out of Tashkent to/from UK as it's a short drive to the airports (international and domestic) and also from the railway station coming back on the bullet train. It is also 15 minutes easy walk (2 min taxi) to our preferred restaurant, Alfonso Restaurant- excellent food and reputation. The hotel is very large with all rooms having huge floor space and all amenities and is quite grand with uniformed staff and room service (selection on the TV inyour room). The rooms have robes, slippers, flat screen TVs. and the bathroom has the usual toiletries including a shaving kit and toothbrush and toothpaste should you have forgotten or run out. Very large comfortable bedds with crisp white linen. The breakfasts are buffet affairs with a huge array of choice and good strong coffee, and whilst we were there live music to entertain during the experience. There is an exchange, useful for changing excess monies back to stirling shoud you have notes left over before returning home, and we found all the staff friendly, efficient, and helpful. The only con perhaps is the bar is more expensive than necessary. We did not eat here in the evenings so cannot comment. However we would recommend this hotel as ideal for transitioning Tashkent.
My wife and myself stayed here for our first night in Uzbekistan, we arrived earl morning after an overnight flight and were immediately taken to our room. What can you say room was huge, either 60 or 75 square metres , this was a Russian era built hotel aimed at Diplomats and important people. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet and everything worked, a kettle and tea and coffee supplied. Bathroom again was large and well equipped with toileteries and decent towels. Reasonable breakfast with good choice next morning. Staff were happy and helpful but be warned imported beer in the bar is expensive. A very reasonable start to our tour.
Very good hotel, comfortable and spacious bedrooms, staff friendly and helpful, Islom speaks excellent English and gave a very good restaurant recommendation for dinner. Good location to walk into one of the central squares.
This place is a splash of space and calm amid the bustling international city of Tashkent. We have been here 3 times in the last 14 days and got to know it well. The staff a friendly and efficient and you must look out for Islom he helped us with great aplomb. Showed is to the bank and helped select a great restaurant. He even rang up and made the booking for us. By the way for all you cynics I felt he was genuinely wanting us to enjoy the city and Uzbekestan. The rooms are vast with all the necessary ammenities.
Indeed a very spacious hotel. Very very couteous and helpful and english speaking. All the girls at reception were outstanding. At conceige there was Azmat who welcomed us and settled us in and on our departure was also there to see us off. Thank you for a great stay. Great breakfast...thank you. Very spacious gym area, great pool and sauna facility too. Enjoy.

This hotel is in centre with excellent cooling and heating a huge rooms. Amazing breakfast but the only thing I didn't like was only 2 lifts which made us wait in case of rush. Muslim shower on 5th floor only specially if you are used to it.
This hotel was half the price of a western name hotel and far exceeded expectations. The rooms are huge, clean and comfy. Staff is genuine, engaged and kind. I loved that the outlets were all universal. I would suggested adding USB ports for easy charging. Location is also stellar.
It is a very poor hotel with old style rooms and eeww bathrooms. Not good for travellers from India or other south asian countries where you get best of the hotels for the same price.
They serve almost nothing in the breakfast and I saw flies on the food - OMG
The staff is sad and pale - most of the times.
