Pros:

This property is beautiful, but dont use Expedia to book. Even yhough I prepaid, when I arrived they said they didn't use Expedia anymore and I had no reservation. SInce it was 4 am I had to pay again to stay and thankfully rooms were avaliable. Now I'm trying to get a refund and neither Boma nor Expedia is taking responsibility. Not great.

Disappointing
Pros:

This hotel is owned by a charity and the management behave accordingly. Uninterested reception, outdated rooms; a distinctly underwhelming stay and on the face of it this hotel has declined more than a bit post COVID.

The only area that needs a bit of updating is the gym. It's functional, but showing it's wear and tear.

Not 5 Star. Decent Value
Pros:

The hotel grounds were lush but the inside of the hotel was decent, and that's the perfect word to describe my overall experience at The Boma Nairobi. The food was just decent. Breakfast? For the money, it was simply "okay."

Truth be told, I was disappointed with my stay. The mini fridge had leftover condensation and a bit of mold inside, which might not have been a huge issue to handle had it worked.

This is a decent hotel - it's not a 5 star establishment.
