If you are looking for a place to enjoy some nights in Eilat - this is the best hotel !!
We reserved 2 nights in Herods and contacted the hotel for special request.
The hotel manager (Shirly) and her staff (the chef and his team) did above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable!
And indeed , it is an unforgettable one!!
This is not our first stay here and we are glad we’ve decided to enjoy our anniversary here as this hotel just continue being the BEST!
We arrived on Saturday at the Herods Boutique Hotel in Eilat, planning to spend the Shavuot holiday there and celebrate a family birthday. We hoped to begin the holiday in a calm, pleasant atmosphere – but instead, we were met with a frustrating, disappointing, and ultimately unnecessary experience.
We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM, knowing that check-in would be completed by 6:00 PM. In reality, we stood, waited, asked questions, and only received our room at 9:00 PM. The explanation we were given? The previous guests simply didn’t vacate the room – as if that’s our problem, and not the hotel’s responsibility.
And what did we do during those five hours? We wandered the streets with a baby just a few months old who couldn’t fall asleep – tired, restless, and above all, sleep-deprived. Our daughter had to sleep with her grandparents, and they – elderly people who came to enjoy themselves – found themselves spending the night in a tense, cramped, and unpleasant situation. As for us, we just felt lost.
And when we finally got the room? We discovered it was unclean – leftovers of rice, sunflower seed shells, cigarette butts on the balcony. Instead of a moment of relief – it was just another slap in the face.
The staff was polite, but in practice, we received no real help, no solution, and no compensation. It felt like we were just left to deal with it on our own – on a night that was supposed to be the festive start to a special vacation.
We arrived in good spirits, ready to celebrate – and left deeply disappointed. This is not how one expects to begin a vacation at a hotel that’s considered luxurious. What a shame. Truly a shame.
I liked the gym and executive lounge. Beach was close and very nice
Very noisy. The rooms are not soundproof and you can hear every party or performance from a kilometer away.
A room for three adults was arranged as for a couple and a child even though there was a request for 3 separate beds. The staff simply ignored
We booked the Leonardo Plaza for 3 nights , but were told that we had been upgraded to the Herods Boutique which sounded great. The bed was really comfortable and the food, extremely good, but cleanliness of the rooms really pulled the hotel standard down. No spare pillows or blankets were provided. The bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation. The televison had a mind of it's own. We turned it off and it would come on and it kept cutting out. The rooms were very dark, very bad lighting. The whole hotel looks tired. I realise that the emphasis is on Herod's but a little bit of extra thought should be given to the Herods Boutique. I also read on their site that car parking was free. On arrival at the hotel another couple were told that parking was NIS35 a night. I mentioned the internet site saying that parking was free and the answer given was that it is free at Herod's on a space available basis. This point was not clear at all. The staff were very polite.
Super amazing experience great location food wow !
The hotel is simply amazing. With wonderful service, the rooms was large, clean and comfortable with direct view to the lagoon. the staff there were respectful, kind and eager to help with my requests, the meals there were delicious.
In summary my stay there was amazing and i cant wait for my next stay at the hotel.
Good stay other than few issues
sunbeds are open from 8:30-18:00 2 hours after sunrise and 2 hours before sunset.
It means before or after this hours you'll have to lay on the rocky ground.
Hotel is old
Staff is very nice. food ok. Great location.
The hotel costs premium price so you expect premium service and accommodation
A magical stay made even greater thanks to the staff who want you to have a great holiday, we stayed for shabbat in the boutique , the room was spacious and had a great view to our surprise we were left with some gifts waiting for us in the room (wine, popcorn, chocolat and a plate of fruite) which was really kind of them to do ,the food on friday night was superb, and the breakfast had everything you could think of .
A special thank you to the manager and all the staff who treated us like family
Absolutely beautiful and an excellent experience
Top class service with fully attentive staff.
The hotel was good but a little old style inside the room.
We were upgraded to a better room and it was very nice
The swimming pool was nice and large.
We went to the main hotel for the heated swimming pool
Booked the Herods Boutique based on pictures on the website. Once arriving at the property realized the pictures were rooms in the Herods Palace across the street and not the Boutique palace. The description and pictures are falsely advertised for the property. After entering room and seeing how a rundown, old and dirty the room was we went to the main desk and paid to upgrade to move to the palace. Would not recommend staying in this hotel and defiantly not a 5 star rated hotel as advertised.
Excellent place and warm welcoming. Free parking and facilities. Clean and cosy. Excellent breakfast.
Yet there are few minor issues: at evening the room is a bit dark due to lack of lighting.
1. In our double room there was only one reading light.
2. We would prefer to have a freezing cell in the refrigerator.
3. There was no "Do not disturb sign" left in the room and the service guy knocked on the door and wake us up.
4. While we were eating breakfast there was a waiter removing our plates (we did not finish eating...)
Yet these are just minors and we had excellent stay.
the view on the lagoon is very nice and quiet
Our stay at this hotel was one of the best in eilat !
The hotel is very high quality and the pool is beautiful but not warm enough for winter swimming. The children’s pool was slightly warmer but not enough.
The hotel is well kept and the breakfast is wonderful.
The pool area was not as clean as i would have wanted. In prticular the beds
Thank you very much it was the best bachelorette party ever
very good
